Assistant Principal – Auburn High School 2014-Current
Assists the Principal with instructional and administrative functions to meet the educational
needs of students and to carry out the mission and goals of the school and system.
Detailed daily responsibilities include:
 Staff Evaluations: Create professional learning plans based on classroom observation and one-
on-one coaching sessions with teachers and staff
 Safety Implementation: Develop, maintain, and implement school-wide safety plan
 Data Support Intervention Leader: Identify struggling students and develop individualized
intervention plans utilizing data to support the student in reaching their goals
 Local Education Agent: Approve and secure necessary resources needed for students with
Individualized Education Plans
 Discipline Implementation: Proactively created uniform discipline matrix utilized by Auburn
High School, responsible for daily discipline management for one-third of student body
 Testing Coordinator: Train faculty, develop test rosters, manage the distribution and
administration of the Workkeys, ACT, and ACT Aspire tests
 Planning and Development of New Auburn High School: AHS will open a New High School Fall
2017; assist in strategic facility plans and developing curriculum and educational initiatives to
achieve the vision for the new High School
 Other responsibilities include: Create staff supervision schedules, “Managing Crisis Safely”
professional development, extra-curricular event supervision, student/parent conferences,
manage budget and logistics for school wide parking
8th Grade Ancient World History Teacher- Auburn Junior High School 2005-2014
Instruct students in core curriculum, met state testing standards, create engaging lesson plans,
and establish encouraging and influential relationships
 History Department Vertical Team Leader: Lead collaborative meetings for 7th
-12th
grade
history teachers within the Auburn City School district to establish continuity within the
department and streamline curriculum goals
 Strategic Planning Tactic Team Leader: Direct a team of stake holders through the strategic
planning process and create action plans and cost benefit analysis documents that align with the
action directive; “We Will Commit to Vibrant Learning Communities”
 Data Team Leader: Focus on collecting and interpreting student data in order to improve
student learning, course selection, and teaching methods to align with school goals
 Hal Moore Leadership Academy Sponsor: educate, equip and empower youth with the
knowledge, training, and skills necessary to cultivate academics and leadership and to promote
honor and service in the schools and communities in which they live
 Data, Support, Intervention Team Member: Identify struggling students through the use of data
and utilize data to develop individualized intervention plans to support the student in reaching
their goals
 College and Career Ready Standards Implementation Team: Auburn Junior High School History
Representative responsible for directing both the History Department and Auburn Junior High
School on how to implement the CCRS standards in the curriculum
 Persistent Issues in History Partner: Partner with Auburn University and Indiana University in
developing and facilitating interactive curriculum involving persistent issues
throughout history that promote civic competence
 Fellowship of Christian Athletes Sponsor: Organize student meetings and activities for around
100 youth
Varsity Men’s Soccer Coach 2004-2014
Led team to win the 2012 Alabama 6A State Championship; Ranked 5th
in the Country by National Soccer
