PA U L TA G E N T
Founder and Owner Bath Marketing Consultancy
My own marketing experience stems from a BA (Hons) marketing & advertising
degree gained in 1993 and approximately 20 years working in the advertising and
marketing industry.
My career has seen me working for major publishers such as The Times & Sunday
Times and Miller Freeman and then later working in the ‘agency’ world with the
global advertising agency Euro RSCG where he worked on brands like Cineworld,
Orange 118 118 and Zurich Finance. Paul was also Group Brand Director at the
leading marketing agency in the Channel Islands (The Partnership) until 2004.
Before founding Bath Marketing Consultancy, I worked at SBW Advertising in Bristol
for 4 years where I headed business development, digital marketing and was brand
custodian of the agency spearheading all marketing.
My objective has always been to combine expert strategic marketing with the
delivery of the full suite of marketing initiatives adding real value to the marketing
process at each stage.
I am in incredibly proud of the award winning work we do for our clients and the
way in which we work with people. We really do enjoy what we do and a lot of the
clients have become our friends!
I have lived in Coleford, outside Frome for 10 years making me very accessible to my
client base and BMC has a permanent office near Bristol in Paulton where we have
been for 2 years. On the personal side, I love most sports, keep fit, have 3 small
children and have been married for 10 years.

Creative Director, Bath Marketing Consultancy.
My own marketing experience stems from a HND in Graphic Design and Illustration
and working in the commercial industry for the best part of 20 years. Initially working
in a high street design/publishing company in Bath alongside a nationally recognised
photographer, Neill Menneer. For 4 years I worked on launching small companies
and produced a magazine called Bath Review which was a property based magazine
with a cultural slant.
In 1993 I joined Inventive Minds that was a company that was an offshoot of Michael
Peters Group, a high end London based agency. Here I worked on a client base
mainly in the leisure and food industry client included Virgin, Sharwoods, McDougalls,
Cadburys and Dartington Crystal to name a few. 1n 1997 I joined Real Adventure
another large agency based in Bath where I worked for Chartered Trust, Merlin
Entertainments (London Dungeon) Lloyds TSB and West End Shows.
In 2001 I went freelance as I wanted to start to start developing my print design skills
onto online media. As such I became involved in website development, web design
and online marketing. I worked for the Wessex region of the National Trust with
Smiths Design and worked on the Sawdays Special Places to Stay website together
with a web team. I also worked on the Norwich Union website with BBM in Bristol
and the Soil Association website. This combined with working with a number of
companies large and small.
Charles joined the team of Bath Marketing Consultancy in 2008 and has been
working on numerous clients in the legal, financial, management training, retail and
leisure sector since then.

Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Emily is a conscientious, creative and reliable designer with more than ten years’ experience.
Specialising in brand development, print media and bespoke illustrations, Emily has a talent for
listening to clients' needs and providing high quality results.
She started out working for high profile national and international publications - such as The
Independent, Belfast Telegraph, House Beautiful, Country Living, Washington Post, Chicago
Tribune and Columbus Dispatch. Emily was then the in-house graphic designer for a leading
national conference and exhibition organiser, before taking the leap into freelancing. She has
worked with Bath Marketing Consultancy since the start 2014 becoming very much a part of
the team.
R E N E E G A R D I
Client Services Manager
Renée brings over 20 years of commercial and marketing experience. During the course of
her career she has worked for small to medium sized businesses as well as holding senior
marketing management positions within global companies. Most recently, while living abroad
she established a retail internet business and consulted on marketing projects. She relocated
back to the UK and joined the BMC team early 2015.
Renée is an approachable, enthusiastic, marketing professional with a “can do” attitude. She
has proven commercial and project management skills delivering results to set budgets. She is
very keen to meet customers’ expectations and establish long term relationships.

Paul and the team at BMC have extensive marketing and hands-on industry
experience gained from a variety of sectors and industries. Paul himself grafted his
way up the ranks from a junior account executive in Fleet Street to a business owner
of his own marketing company.
BMC tries not to pigeon hole itself into being a sector specialist. What we do is
judge each client on its own merits and then use our experience to research,
develop, design and implement a tailored marketing plan of attack.

Mowbray Woodwards is a leading generalist Firm of Solicitors with a 65 year pedigree who is
based in the centre of Bath. They were seeking a “fresh pair of eyes” with regards to their
brand and their overall marketing strategy. Bath Marketing Consultancy was appointed at the
end of 2013 and we now conduct all marketing activity for Mowbray Woodwards on both a
strategic and creative level.

A Bristol based insurance company specialising in tailor made insurance services for
businesses. In a competitive marketing place, our brief was to communicate the fact that
Castlemead is an independent broker who really do save companies money by 'cherry picking'
the correct policies.
We came up with a creative concept that reflected this ability of carefully picking the right
policy for their clients and then flowed this concept through across on and offline marketing.
Castlemead even use the branding we did on their building in St Johns Road, Bristol.

Hart Greaves is a high end IFA providing effective financial advice & planning for individuals
and corporate clients across the UK.
Based in Kelston Park and created as a new company by Paul Greaves and Ken Hart, we
created the new brand identity for them and combined it with a contemporary modern
website, corporate literature and business stationery. Bath Marketing Consultancy has also
been appointed to spearhead their online marketing and customer e marketing.

A leading and award winning Somerset based recruitment agency with 2 clear markets; clients
and candidates. Bath Marketing Consultancy was asked to come up with a new brand identity
that modernised the brand and reflected the accessibility of the business ethos and the
approachability of the team.
We designed and developed an evolution of the identity and then developed a totally new
online platform with 3 clear “zones.” Within the project was the integration of a CRM system
which allowed the team to manage candidates and clients in a fluid and efficient way. We also
designed, negotiated and planned Simple’s annual media campaign across all local media.

M2i is a leading player in the online benchmarking market working with county councils and
local authorities across the UK. Their signature product is the NHT Survey measuring
customer satisfaction within transport and highway authorities. We have developed an
umbrella website, multiple online projects and offline marketing initiatives including Exhibition
collateral, merchandising and e-marketing.

Approached by the UK side of the business, we were asked to create a UK brand for the
company’s Shrink Mail Product which facilitates the sending of any sized email attachments via
any email account. The parent company Pacifera gave us strict brand guidelines, but we
developed a clean identity with a website targeting new and existing users via a restricted log
in user area.
