3. Instart Logic Overview
• SaaS company focused on making application delivery
fast, secure, and easy
• Our end-to-end platform combines machine learning
for performance and security, with a CDN for delivery,
and is designed for DevOps and mobile-first
applications
4. Market leaders use us for performance, security, and agility
▪ Improved the performance of mission critical applications for 400+ domains
with aggregate sales of $60B+
▪ Protected against DDoS attacks that were 20x larger than average
▪ Our mission: all page views for all users in sub 3 seconds
4 | Confidential and proprietary
5. Why companies choose Instart Logic
Poor mobile web and application performance
Mobile traffic has increased, but mobile conversions are down by 73%
Average webpage is 2x bigger than a few years ago
Application integrity and security is being compromised
Larger and more sophisticated security vulnerabilities
Rise of ad blockers and other plugins compromise app integrity
Need a more flexible vendor with a platform that scales
TCO increases with heavy reliance on PS
Limitations on flexibility, APIs, self-service, and automation
Better long term technology provider that is faster, more secure, and easy to
use. Enterprise grade support with control.
6. Our Problem
• Amazon becoming a key part of our infrastructure
– Agility for development and time to market
– (almost) limit-less scalability
But…
• Each department doing their
own thing
• Costs spiraling out of control
• Security … or lack of
• No accountability or
expiration of systems
• Stale architecture
9. Focus Areas
• Bring order from chaos
– Understand what we have, what it’s doing
– Help bring costs under control
• Security
– Help define a security framework
• Define a long-term roadmap
– Work with us to plan a path forward
– Regular updates on new Amazon features
10. Results
• Dramatic cost reduction
– Consolidated billing
– Cost limits and accountability
• Implemented segmented security
framework
• Path Forward
– Clear, defined, roadmap
– On-call resource for any issues
– Clear strategic plan of how we continue to implement our hybrid cloud
We are a software company focused on making application delivery fast, secure, and easy.
Our differentiation is really in how we are architected. We have an end-to-end platform that extends down to the client and uses machine learning to continuously optimize performance and security. We also have a CDN as a component of our platform. Our application delivery platform allows for DevOps control through our APIs and is designed for mobile-first applications.
At our core, we are an architectural disruption to existing content delivery networks.
We are venture backed by a number of prominent investors and have won several awards such as being rated #1 best place to work by Glassdoor and Business Insider.
A number of well known Fortune 500 companies such as Office Depot, Kate Spade, Washington Post, L’Oreal, Pizza Hut, etc. use us for three main purposes – improve performance, security, and agility.
On average, we have improved the performance of mission critical applications for 400+ domains with aggregate sales of $60B.
We have also served traffic across the past four Black Friday’s and Cyber Monday’s with absolutely no interruptions.
From a security perspective, we have battle scars from protecting against large scale DDoS attacks that were 20x larger than average (average DDoS attacks are xx).
All with the mission of having all page views for all users be under in sub 3 seconds. Aspirational – yes, but we are making strides.
At the heart of it, customers come to us for three main problems:
#1 Poor performance across mobile and web applications
It’s no surprise that mobile traffic is continuing to increase, but conversions are down by 73% largely due to mobile performance and the mobile experience.
Also, the average page has grown bigger by an order of magnitude. In fact, the average webpage is 2x bigger than it was just a few years ago.
#2 Application integrity and security is being compromised
We live in an age where there are larger, more sophisticated vulnerabilities as evidenced by several noteworthy attacks.
The rise of ad blockers is also compromising application integrity by not preserving the application experience.
#3 They need a more flexible vendor that can scale to the changing needs of their business.
Today, many companies are relying heavily on PS offerings from their incumbent providers, which drastically increases Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) over time.
Incumbent vendors also have limitations on their flexibility, provide limited control and self-service capabilities, and have to do everything manually, which takes time and becomes very expensive not to mention is not scalable.
We solve these problems for you and are a better long-term technology provider that is faster, more secure, and easier to work with than your existing solution. We offer enterprise grade support so we are there for you at every step of the way (phone, email, chat), but if you prefer to make changes yourself, we also give you full control through our APIs.
