Cinematherapy, or reel therapy, is a therapeutic intervention that uses movies and film to help clients with their healing and growth process. Scenes and entire movies can be used to stimulate emotional release, provide examples of resilience, and help clients gain insight and awareness into their own emotions, relationships, and process of grief.
