Hi, Erin,
I recently enjoyed your article on different meat options for Thanksgiving, and it gave me great
ideas for my family since we aren’t big turkey lovers either. I just wanted to let you know that
the Food Bank For New York City is having a holiday get- together featuring host and renowned
chef Rachael Ray. This family dinner will feed the homeless and the shut-in community of New
York City. The celebration will take place on Ms. Ray’s set on Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. Teaching,
carols and stories will bring smiles to the families and children in need. In addition to hosting the
event, Ms. Ray will teach shut-in families how to eat on a low-income budget.
If you have the time I would love for you and your family to join us for the event. During the
event I’d enjoy getting your input on how you’d feed the homeless on a $5 budget.
