Chan House –Spring 春天 2012 Newsletter The Chan House Project In This Issue A new sign for the Chan House Fund Raising Dinner at the Yummy Kitchen Folsom Hop Sing’s Fund Raising Dinner Pictures Chan House Committee Meeting Schedule New Chan House Website Chan House Video Chan House Spring Fund Raising Dinner On May 17th Yummy Kitchen Chinese Restaurant will be hosting a Chan House Fund Raising Dinner Donation amount $35 A concept of the Howard Sr. and Mabel Chan Museum Time 6:00pm For reservations, contact Jeff Ferreira-Pro @ 916-792-9438 The Heritage Preservation League, Friends of Chan House and Folsom Historical Society have been working hard this Winter! A new sign was designed, fund raising activities have starting up and donations are coming in to reach our goal of $300,000 Chan House Sign A sign has been designed and placed in front of the Chan House to 199 Blue Ravine Rd Suite 100 give visitors to the Historic District a sense of what the Chan House Folsom CA Restoration will look like when completed. A 9 course dinner will be served: Chicken with Sweet Corn Soup Broccoli Beef Kung Pao Chicken Fish Filet in Black Bean Sauce Orange Chicken Salt and Pepper Pork Chops House Fried Rice House Chow Mein Honey Walnut Shrimp ---------------------------------

New Friends ofChan House Website We have just completed the redesign of our Friends of Chan House Website The website now has latest news and updates, newsletters, pictures, upcoming events, contact information, history and a PayPal donation link. Hop Sing’s Fund Raising Dinner th ----------------------------------- Our March 15 kick-off fundraising dinner at Hop Sing’s was a huge success with all of the tickets selling out. Over 60 people attended the dinner and several went home with nice Raffle Prizes. Chan House Committee Meeting You are invited to attend our Chan House Committee Meetings. These meetings are held every 2 weeks at the Folsom History Museum. The Chan House Committee is looking for new volunteers to help out on this project.
