A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

- 5. And here, the answer keys to them…
- 6. In reality, on a desk top, this is what the screen looks like when you try to open a post: you have to position the cursor on the square and WAIT until it spins and turns black…then you can click on it and it will open up….
- 7. There are some readings and some videos, mostly from the Washington Post, The New York Times, and TED Talks, which means this is authentic material (not for classroom purposes)…
- 8. This is how ‘polishing quizzes’ display when you open them: some general reasoning behind them, instructions, the TIP for that specific quiz (what is being tested/ taught/ reminded…polished) and the google drive link you must click on…
- 9. Which will take you to this…the first 5 items check the learning point…
- 10. And the second 5 are translations for you to practice saying what you really are thinking….but correctly. Not grammatically (in some cases both options are correct), but what a native speaker would choose to say…
- 11. And then, go to the key and check your answers…
- 12. This is what ‘pronunciation remedials’ look like…an important difference is that you do not click the answers (write them down in your notebook)…
- 13. And the key…there’s one entry that contains the instructions to the remedials, including an explanation of the symbols & letters & sounds used to imitate the sounds without phonetic symbols…
