- Plastic bags have become ubiquitous globally with an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion used each year, but they persist in the environment for up to 1000 years, accumulating as litter and pollution.
- Plastic bags have severe environmental impacts on land, sea, and sky by entangling and being ingested by wildlife, clogging waterways, releasing toxic chemicals when burned, and damaging ecosystems.
- Many countries and jurisdictions have implemented policies like bans, taxes, and fees on plastic bags to reduce consumption and encourage reusable alternatives like cloth bags.

Beat Plastic Pollution: World Environment Day Aniruddha Guha
This year (2018) India was the host country for official celebrations of WED and escalating the issue of Plastic Pollution for creating required awareness was a matter of utmost importance. This presentation was designed keeping the same in mind. It raised three basic questions,
1) What is the Problem (Problem Definition)?
2) What are the adverse effects of Plastic Pollution?
3) What can we do to stop it?
While answering these questions during the flow of the presentation, the sad reality of Great Pacific Garbage Patch was also discussed. At the final stage, solutions were proposed following 4R concept, namely, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rebuy. The presentation concluded with a small video trailer titled “Albatross” (By Chris Jordan) which exhibited the tragic truth of Midway Island, one the most heart-breaking consequences of plastic pollution.
This was created by fact checking a famous internet chain mail describing the horrors of plastic bags. It appears that most of it was never really linked to any authoritative source. But news papers like the NY times a Boston Globe as fact. It is truely an example of Escience and Ejournalism where research is conducted online and professional standards of fact checking and documentation were abandoned
Plastic is poisoning our oceans and a lot of that plastic comes from plastic beverage bottles. Stop using disposable plastic water bottles and switch to using filtered tap water in reusable water bottles. It's easy to do. It will help save the ocean. It will save you money.
Reducing plastic pollution, one party at a time!Elaine Catherine
If you take a walk along any beach in the world you will find plastic amongst the sand or stones. This is because 10% of all plastic trash ends up in the sea. It was this terrible plastic tide that inspired us to do something to help reduce the use of plastic and GOOD2GO was born.
Plastic pollution is a huge, and growing, problem. There are an estimated 46,000 pieces in every square mile of ocean. Every year plastic kills more than 100,000 marine mammals like seals, sea lions, dolphins and whales, and a million sea birds like the Laysan Albatross (http://www.midwayfilm.com/). Plastic particles attract toxins and enter the food chain and finally, us. Babies are now born with chemicals in their bodies that are only used in the manufacture of plastic. The good news is that we have a solution.
We believe it’s insane to make products like party plates and cups that will be used only once from plastic, a material that lasts for centuries and can’t be recycled. All GOOD2GO products are non-toxic, made from plants and return to nature within just a few months of being thrown away. We’ve been working together for four years bringing planet-friendly disposables to business customers and consumers in the Caribbean, where the beaches are impacted every day. We’ve organized beach clean ups and seen hundreds of people turn out early in the morning to remove many tons of plastic trash washed in from the sea. Every ton of GOOD2GO products used replaces a ton of plastic and, therefore, a ton of plastic trash.
We’ve noticed that people often get very serious when it comes to environmental protection but we’re fun kind of people and we think doing good things for the planet should be fun too. Everybody likes to throw a party but have you ever noticed just how much plastic waste is generated at even a small gathering? We did and so we developed a range of planet-friendly GOOD2GO 'Party Time' packs and an innovative marketing plan to get them into every home in America.
You have the unique opportunity to be the first in your neighborhood to throw a party using a GOOD2GO ‘Party Time’ pack for just $25. We have a wide range of options to suit all occasions. Whether you’re planning a kid’s party, a tailgate party or a family get together, there’s a GOOD2GO ‘Party Time’ pack designed especially for you. Every pack contains printed cups, plates, bowls, knives, forks and spoons that are all made from plants and all 100% compostable. We’ll also throw in some party favors and biodegradable trash bags, and we’ll even ship your pack for FREE if you live in the mainland USA. Everyone who funds our IndieGoGo campaign will also receive a 10% discount voucher, even if you only fund $1.
Join us and fund our IndieGoGo campaign (http://igg.me/at/itspartytime) but don't delay, our campaign ends on May 31st. With your help we can reduce plastic pollution and Party with the Planet.
Plastics is a wonder product. From our daily use items to the products used in medical sector, plastics have made our life much easier and safe. The problem lies with the use of Single Use Plastics (SUP) and its management once thrown away as waste.
Only 9% SUP goes to recycling and majority (79%) of it ends up in ocean and landfills where it enters the food chain and disrupts the entire ecosystem. It harms animals and birds in different ways, causes pollution and also affects health.
The solution lies in the hands of we consumers. The goal should NO plastics in the Environment.
There are *countless* facts about the dangers of plastic bags that go overlooked every day. This presentation is WELL worth the time to check out as is http://bagthebags.com!

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.

Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.

Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.

Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

8. The IMPACT of the PLASTIC BAG on the Earth’s ENVIRONMENT Land Sea Sky
9.
10. A bear does not know that a plastic bag is harmful. Neither does a duck… Land pollution caused by plastic bags are hazardous to land animals who mistake it for food or suffocate from them Or an orangutan. But there is ONE ANIMAL that should know plastic bags pollute lands that cause drains to be blocked, soil to be contaminated, cause the deaths of animals that ingest it by mistake or get entangled in it and suffocate: The HUMAN No other animal for that matter knows
11.
12. the IMPACT on the sky Plastic bags are made out of polythene a flexible , low weight , thin material. Then it is not surprising that sometimes plastic bags or pieces of them are found most anywhere causing harm to the environment. Roughly 47% of garbage that is “ gone with the wind” are plastic bags. They blow easily with the winds and end up entangled in trees. “ I go where the wind takes me!”, sayeth the plastic bag Once entangled in trees they are harmful to birds and other animals that reside in the trees causing damage to their livelihoods.
13. Plastic bags contribute to the damage of the natural layer of protection which this planet has given us ! Sometimes garbage disposed in plastic bags are burned- thinking we are burning away our waste. What we don’t realize is that when plastic is burned it emits strong hazardous chemicals into the air causing massive air pollution. Air pollution in turn causes damage to the Ozone Layer The ozone layer, over 10 miles high surrounding the Earth above is what protects us from Ultra-Violate radiation emitted by the sun . Damage to the Ozone layer causes increase in skin cancer for both humans and animals. Impact on the Ozone layer = sever damage to the Ecosystem: destruction of plantation, and imbalance of the food-chain in the oceans. Causing scarcity of food for marine life.
14. the IMPACT on Sea & water Plastic bags due to their light weight are easily carried by the wind and end up in clean bodies of water containing aquatic life where they slowly degrade for generations. Aquatic life in small bodies of water are not alone as victims to plastic bags
15. the IMPACT on Sea Marine life is severely effected by our consumption of plastic bags. That is because a plastic bag in its low weight, and thin outlook resembles a jellyfish : a common source of food for many sea creatures. Annually an estimated tens of thousands of turtles , birds , seals and whales die due to the consumption of plastic bags mistaking it for food. When plastic bags enter the digestive system of marine life it is not excreted by the animal. Instead it stagnates in the animal’s gut till the animal dies. Once the animal dies due to the plastic bag clogging its digestive system to function properly, it decomposes and once again the plastic bag is released into the ocean to continue its damage.
16.
17. Africa Kenya and Uganda are banning thin plastic bags and placing tariffs on thick plastic bags. South Africa’s actions towards the issue of plastic bag have fairly restricted the number of bags found carelessly disposed in the country. The African nation taking the most strongly voiced action is Tanzania banning the plastic bag completely in 2006. Some World action against Plastic Bags United States In the US, San Francisco has taken the big step to ban plastic bags. It hopes other US cities will follow in its example. California has implemented an educational program which pushes businesses in the direction of promoting the message of re-using bags. Canada Canada shows action towards the problem of plastic bags through the Ontario government that has stated its commitment to the reduction of usage by 50% within the next half decade. China China plans on implementing a tax on the use of plastic bags as well – this tax in turn would be utilized to generate capital to deal with pollution caused by plastic bags. Australia Australia began its battle against plastic bags in 2006 in Victoria, by asking consumers to pay for the plastic bags they use. They are hoping this step in Victoria will see the rest of Australia follow a path towards reducing the consumption of plastic bags. Ireland Ireland is considered one of the golden samples of the global community fighting the plague of plastic bags. Their tax ‘PlasTax’ has shown an average reduction in plastic bag consumption. Though there have been some step-backs where numbers have depleted and then increased Ireland is determined to keep it’s efforts in success. India In Goa, India: people are giving in old magazines and newspapers for the production of paper bags to aid in the reduction of plastic bag consumption.
