2. INTRODUCTION
Starbucks coffee chain. “This Coffee giant, Starbucks has
stores in over 70 countries, and more than 25,000 stores
worldwide, so it'd be easy to assume that you're never too far
from your next latte.” (Ali, 2016) with competitors like Costa
coffee, Mac café and Dunkin Starbucks is still one of the top
coffee brands in the UK Europe and US. Starbucks is one of
my favorite companies because I love their coffee and the
service I get whenever I visit a Starbucks store. Starbucks
was founded in 1971 in Seattle and by 2007 it was the largest
chain worldwide with over 15,000 stores in about 44 countries
3. BODY OF REPORT
The customization of coffee and Starbucks is one of the many things people look forward to in
this brand. There is a distinctive taste in their coffee options as they get their Coffee beans
specially from North America and African countries like Ethiopia and Ghana, which makes
people desire coffee. Starbucks was founded in 1971 in Seattle and by 2007 it was the largest
chain worldwide with over 15,000 stores in about 44 countries some including (Ireland, UK,US,
Canada) .Starbucks offers homely customer service As CEO Howard Schultz said “we are not
the coffee business serving people we are a people business serving coffee” (Ali,
2016)although Starbucks is a premium brand it is still the preferred brand for most coffee
drinkers in Europe we have a lot of loyal customers which guarantees sales every single day.
This loyalty is built by years of consistency in-service , customer acceptance and premium
coffee as well as a unique selling point. (Aminttahari, 2013)The staff are called partners this
gives the workers confidence and a sense of worth as they have a choice and are active ni
deciding the types of coffee and services they give their customers. Starbucks has a good
media presence which helps their sales and expansion, They are very good with advertisements
and brand awareness as well as steal deals annually which brings them more customers.
ECONOMIC And SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Of Starbucks
Economic duties of a business. The main economic responsibility of any business is to
maximize profit and to contribute to the economy. It involves a company producing goods and
services to satisfy the needs and wants of citizens. It also involves the returns on investments
made by share holders of companies and payment of the subordinates of the company.
Starbucks has these obligations to follow and from my research I have found some ways by
which the complete these duties. Starbucks holds their economic and social responsibilities to
heart as they are very responsible to their environment as they have many charity causes to
better the poor citizens of the world. (Roby, 2011)
4. CONCLUSION
Starbucks is a major business icon for smaller
businesses to emulate they are one of the
strongest competitors in the coffee business
with a lot of good reputation. This report is
based on trust towards the business and a
good impression I amongst many other
consumers have for the coffee chain.
