3. Virginia Satir the eldest daughter of a family
with four children, born in Neillsville, Wisconsin,
a girl full of curiosity, who learned to read
when she was 3 years old!

In 1929 Virginia's mother insisted on leaving where they were to go to a
farm in Milwaukee so that Satir could study high school.
In 1932 he obtained his high school diploma.
She then enrolled in the Milwaukee State Teachers College and, to break
even, began working as a nanny and in a department store
simultaneously.

5. In 1936 Satir graduated with a master's degree in
education, second in her class.
She worked as a teacher.
It was in the 1950s that Virginia Satir began her
adventures in therapy.
It didn't take long for her to move to California,
where in the late 1950s she would co-found the
