What computers use to process Data
Made up of 0’s and 1’s

This means that there are only two possible values
(0/1).
1 binary digit = 1 bit (the smallest unit of
information when dealing with computing)
8 bits = 1 Byte
0 = OFF
1 = ON
Anytime we use numbers in computing, such
as IP Addresses, we are converting them from
Binary so they are easy to understand.

Base 10
Means: 10 possible values 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Used to read IP Addresses: 192.166.15.7
4. Binary Values
IP Addresses are 4 Bytes of information
Each Byte has 8 bits
Each bit has a special value depending on
where it is in the order.
