1. BIM 3D Models For Elevators & Escalators:
Nowadays, many Architects design new building projects in a 3D environment, using Building Information Modeling
[BIM] technology. The space planning is not just by defining lines which are only 2-dimensional but by defining each
element of the building in a 3-dimensional environment, along with inputting appropriate design data related to each
element. Such design data built into the model elements are very useful all throughout the design process. Design
data behind each element can be queried, verified, consolidated and used for further
coordination, clash detection, conflict resolution, cost assessment and supply chain
identification.
VTME Elevator Consultants are able to provide completed and ready-to-insert 3D
models for various elevator and escalator types. The models have the requisite design
and product data for the Architects to instantly access the various technical
parameters of the elevators/escalators in a project. VTME also includes further detail
design data such as Motor power, Heat rejection, Structural loads, associated special
design bases within the parameter list.
Such detailed design data provides instant information not only for the Architects but to
the complete design team providing essential design information to structural
engineers, MEP engineers and interior designers. VTME completes its BIM models for the
Architects to directly insert an elevators/escalator model into their Architectural model.
VTME's BIM models are developed to LOD 300 level which includes visual representation
of landing doors and entrances, elevator cars, signal fixtures, guide rails and machinery
space general arrangement. The model is developed to fit an exact elevator shaft
and machinery space defined by the Architects following the project's dimensions and
elevation heights.
