problems in different areas. They divide the critical problems into four different programs; The Health Division, Global Development Division, The

Statement Of Purpose: Gate Scholarship
As a hopeful recipient of the Gate Scholarship, I am eager to participate fully and dedicate my entire self to personal and professional development. I
could cultivate valuable bonds with fellow Vikings and people within the community. While developing these new relationships, I would also enhance
my personal communication skills and networking opportunities by working side by side with knowledgeable and skilled professionals. Additionally,
it would propel me into the real world by giving me valuable work experiences and a well–earned, comprehensive resume. I attach tremendous
importance to being actively involved in my quest for learning and serving others, and I feel responsible to pay it forward. I am not the type of person

Example Of A Scholarship Essay
Ronald Reagan stated that, "there are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, and no barriers to our progress except
those we ourselves erect." Mr. Reagan's quote reminds me of the fact that as individuals, we are in control of our destiny; the only obstacle between
us and our dreams, is the ones we create. It is often said that a true leader is one who leads by example; through my community service and leadership
opportunities, I was able to become an example for not only youths in general, but also my community. As a female raised in the African–American
community, I wanted to be an example and beacon for my community. Consequently, I became the Director of Diversity and Awareness at Palm Beach
State College....show more content...
I have hired motivational speakers such as Carlos Andres Gomez, a Social Justice and Diversity speaker, to speak about diversity and its importance
to the functioning of society. I have served as the Captain of my high school's Debate team which enabled me to reach out to a larger audience about
expressing themselves and the best ways to express themselves. Before going to debate competitions, it would be my duty to ensure that the debaters
have research prepared to make speeches for every bill on the docket. I hosted mock debates where we practice, question and organize every speech in
preparation for competition. Through my position, I was able to show my fellow debaters the importance of self–expression and the value of the
debate. I was able to bring about awareness on topics that affects high school and college students while proving to youths like myself how to
express themselves. As a leader, I helped prepare my team for visits to various courthouses in Palm Beach County where they met prominent
attorneys and judges. Due to my role as a leader and the help of teachers and counselors, our team has had great success and our school became an
"A" rated school. In fact, some of our previous debaters has won the Gates Millennium Scholarship and like me, won the Florida Girls State

My Huge Pursue My Scholarship
Recently, I was the proud recipient of a one thousand dollar scholarship from the Omega Psi Phi fraternity, a scholarship only given to the highest
ranked African American males of four different high schools within Ohio including Sydney, Piqua, Troy, and Lima. When my Counselor came to me
with this news, I was both shocked and honored to be granted with this financial opportunity. The thought of scholarship money has been on my mind
constantly ever since I began my senior year. Learning I had earned a scholarship without even applying came as a huge relief. I got the full details of
the scholarship when I attended a meeting at the Holiday Inn in Piqua the following week. There, I met my fellow recipients and the man operating the

Millennium Scholarship Essay
Hello,
I have a question about my Millennium Scholarship offer this fall. I am currently enrolled as a full–time student with fifteen credits and only offered
me $960 which is only twelve credits. I think they made an error with my scholarship offer. I would gladly appreciate it if they could fix it before my
school fees are due. Also, how come I did not receive a grant this school year? I did submit my FAFSA, but only offered aloan.
Thank You,

The time has come for me to proudly say I have made it. As I am in the position to rejoice the success of my life, I remembered you. The moment I
walked in to your classroom in 9th grade, you have guided me and supported me to excel in my academics. As a newly immigrated student to the
country, you have helped me learn English and went out of your way to accommodate my academic needs by staying afterschool.
I remember how you sat in the classroom patiently late into the evening as I was trying to finish my homework. Thank you for understanding my
situation at the time–the fact I did not have a computer at home and my parents were not able to help me with my school assignments. You saw in me
my passion for education and my desire for success. As your student, you made sure that not only I succeed in learning English but also strive for

As a student from DC public school, I never thought I would have the confidence to go after the number one scholarship in the nation. Thank you
for staying up until mid night while being pregnant and writing my recommendations for the so many scholarships and schools that I have applied

Since then, I worked at the National Institute of Health; got my Masters of Physician Assistance from Howard University and now I am working as a

My Academic And Laboratory Skills
In the spring of 2016, I will be taking other crucial science classes with their respective laboratories such as Biochemistry I, Organic Chemistry II,
and Physics II. I will also be taking a class, Special Topics in Neuroscience, which will further extend my knowledge about neurobiology. My
academic and laboratory by the time the SURF starts, will enable me to have a very strong grip on the academic and laboratory skills required by
the SURF projects; Therefore, I will be able to offer analysis and interpretation skills of greater quality than someone who lacks that academic
coursework and Laboratory skills. I am sure, like previous semesters, I will achieve excellence through hard work in spring 2016 too.
It will be a mistake to think my consistent hard work stops with STEM courses. Due to Outstanding performance in both college level humanity and
STEM classes I passed all my advanced placement exams with high scores. By the end of High School, I received AP Scholar award twice, and
currently hold 74 credits, even though I am still in my second year of college.
Back in 2014, when I applied to prestigious institutions as a high–school senior such as FSU, UCF and USF, I was offered more than $16,000 from
each college in form of scholarships and grants. One notable scholarship opportunity I was presented with was the Gates Millennium Scholarship

People often say that behind every great man is a great women. Melinda Gate easily reputes this theory and proves that great women can stand on

work has encompassed two things that have enamored me: computer science and philanthropy. For years she worked at Microsoft, creating software
for one of the most prestigious tech companies. After marrying Bill Gates, she utilized the new connections available to her to spread not only

The Greatest Entrepreneur of all time is Bill Gates. William (Bill) Henry Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington to parents
William and Mary (Maxwell) Gates. Most known for his title of Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation, the World's Largest Computer
Company, it became evident that Gates was a risk–taker early on in his life as his favourite games were "Risk" and "Monopoly". Gates also had the
advantage of starting young as he first learned to program computers in grade eight. Fast–forwarding a few years, Gates graduated from Lakeside in

followed by another as Gates was named the richest man in the world at the age of 39. Due to his vision for his company, his strong determination
and his incredible motivation to get to the top, Gates was able to achieve success far beyond anyone would have expected. Gates had created a
multi–billion dollar company, in 25 years. Many people believe that some of the possible reasons for his success include the fact that he valued his
work, and he was never afraid to ask for money. He was also able to recognize the best employees for his business, and he rarely stopped to rest. Then,
on January 1, 1994, Gates married one of his workers, Melinda French. He and Melinda had two daughters – Jennifer and Phoebe, as well as a son
named Rory. In 1994, Bill and Melinda created a foundation called the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which was dedicated to supporting education,
world health, and investment in low–income communities. The couple made a 28 billion dollar contribution to create this

My Goals For Scholarship
I haven't had many goals in life, but the few I do I plan to achieve. I plan to become very good at basketball, but I won't join the NBA. I plan to make
it into Postsecondary Education Opportunity (PSEO), and graduate with a Gates millennium scholarship, which pays 12,785 dollars on average. Those
can all be achieved by the end of high school, but I have even bigger plans after that. I plan to become an orthopedic surgeon and attend either Harvard
or Stanford. These are all big plans and I hope to achieve them all. In high school, I said I plan to practice my basketball skills and to make it into
PSEO. I have already taken steps to improve my skills in basketball. I go to the gym every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and any other time I have the
chance. I have also started on making it to PSEO, I have been maintaining my grades and have no missing assignments. I plan on going to Normandale
community college and to the University of Minnesota after that. My goals through college are very specific. I plan to graduate with a Gates
millennium scholarship, which will be paying most of my classes for the first four years. I also plan to be accepted to both Harvard University and
Stanford, but to choose one based on my personal needs. I will work hard in all of my classes and will finish my four years at the top of my class. I

  • 2. Statement Of Purpose: Gate Scholarship As a hopeful recipient of the Gate Scholarship, I am eager to participate fully and dedicate my entire self to personal and professional development. I could cultivate valuable bonds with fellow Vikings and people within the community. While developing these new relationships, I would also enhance my personal communication skills and networking opportunities by working side by side with knowledgeable and skilled professionals. Additionally, it would propel me into the real world by giving me valuable work experiences and a well–earned, comprehensive resume. • 3. Example Of A Scholarship Essay Ronald Reagan stated that, "there are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, and no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect." Mr. Reagan's quote reminds me of the fact that as individuals, we are in control of our destiny; the only obstacle between us and our dreams, is the ones we create. It is often said that a true leader is one who leads by example; through my community service and leadership opportunities, I was able to become an example for not only youths in general, but also my community. As a female raised in the African–American community, I wanted to be an example and beacon for my community. Consequently, I became the Director of Diversity and Awareness at Palm Beach State College....show more content... I have hired motivational speakers such as Carlos Andres Gomez, a Social Justice and Diversity speaker, to speak about diversity and its importance to the functioning of society. I have served as the Captain of my high school's Debate team which enabled me to reach out to a larger audience about expressing themselves and the best ways to express themselves. Before going to debate competitions, it would be my duty to ensure that the debaters have research prepared to make speeches for every bill on the docket. I hosted mock debates where we practice, question and organize every speech in preparation for competition. Through my position, I was able to show my fellow debaters the importance of self–expression and the value of the debate. I was able to bring about awareness on topics that affects high school and college students while proving to youths like myself how to express themselves. As a leader, I helped prepare my team for visits to various courthouses in Palm Beach County where they met prominent attorneys and judges. Due to my role as a leader and the help of teachers and counselors, our team has had great success and our school became an "A" rated school. In fact, some of our previous debaters has won the Gates Millennium Scholarship and like me, won the Florida Girls State Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The thought of scholarship money has been on my mind constantly ever since I began my senior year. Learning I had earned a scholarship without even applying came as a huge relief. The moment I walked in to your classroom in 9th grade, you have guided me and supported me to excel in my academics. As a newly immigrated student to the country, you have helped me learn English and went out of your way to accommodate my academic needs by staying afterschool. I remember how you sat in the classroom patiently late into the evening as I was trying to finish my homework. Thank you for understanding my situation at the time–the fact I did not have a computer at home and my parents were not able to help me with my school assignments. I am sure, like previous semesters, I will achieve excellence through hard work in spring 2016 too. It will be a mistake to think my consistent hard work stops with STEM courses. Due to Outstanding performance in both college level humanity and STEM classes I passed all my advanced placement exams with high scores.
