9. Relevance of the Study
Life is important. That’s why we should give time and important to the study about this
problem. We need to become aware of what’s the fact out of our studies. Through studying the
cause and effect of calamities we can be able to evaluate and lessen the effect of this in different
aspect of life. Through also this, we can be able to gather ideas and knowledge that will help us
into self realization.
Learning more about this problem can help us on how to attain our safer and better life.
Being disaster prone country is an additional issue that’s why we suffer great effect of calamities.
Our of studying this we can formulate our now conclusion and analyze the different factor that
may rise on it. In analysis if we succeed to lessen the effect of calamities in this Barangay we can
say that Gorong-Gorong is a disaster ready Barangay.
10. Objectives of the Study
This is all about the calamities suffered in the Barangay Gorong-Gorong. The study is
being done in order to further realize the following objectives.
1. Identify the cause and effect of calamities in barangay Gorong- Gorong.
2. To enhance the life of the community people through solving the problem.
3. To understand and analyze the factors contributing calamities.
4. To formulate recommendation that will support and solve the problem experience
by the constituents.
5. To identify what factors affect the barangay most.
6. To give information on how to lessen the effect of calamities.

Calamities - disaster
-a state of great damage and distress
Typhoon - a hurricane originating over tropical waters in western
Tsunami - on extensive and of very destructive ocean war caused by a submarine earth quake
Flood - an unusually swage flow or rise of water
Fire - a burning mass of fuel, as in a fireplace
Climate – temperature of once place
Coasts lines - the contour or boundary of a coast
Food Supply - is the family everyday use supplying of food
Prone - delicate
Minimize - to reduce to the smallest amount or degree

13. Introduction
God created us with a specific purpose in mind, and if we align our plans with his, we will
experience peace and contentment.
As of now, we are experiencing a lot of changes, changes that brought by the unsteward
people of our nation. Though God gave us the beauty of the world still we cannot give thanks
and importance to his creature. That’s the first reason while we are suffering the effect of
different calamities. As we go on to the new horizon of our modernized country, we are facing
the disastrous effect of this especially to the community of barangay Gorong- Gorong .So make
the world the best of it because if it is destroyed we are the first to cope with it.
