TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) 
The BFAR shall continue to conduct training on 
GMP, SSOP and HACCP for the industry as pre-requisites 
to HALAL Certification for fishery 
products & processing establishments 
BFAR shall provide technical assistance & advisory 
services to industry stakeholders how the later can 
qualify & met the requirements for HALAL 
Certification for fish products and processing 
establishments

 BFAR shall provide the NCMF with the list of HACCP – 
Certified Fish Processing Establishments and Update 
status of processing plants based on BFAR inspection 
and monitoring activities 
 BFAR shall participate in any activities related to the 
implementation of the DA-HALAL Industry 
Development Program such as but not limited to 
participation in trainings, workshop, meetings, 
seminars locally and abroad subject to availability of 
funds and existing rules and regulations

BFAR shall submit accomplishment reports to the 
DA HALAL Office on a regular basis or as may be

Through HALAL Certification, Product Labeling and 
Packaging, last 10-11 April 2014,

BFAR acted as a resource speaker/lecturer on the above 
sited training on the GMP/SSOP and HACCP a pre-requisite 
to HALAL certification to fish products and
