• Benchmark Power International (BPI) is a Joint stock Company has been incorporated
pursuant to the Corporate Law 159, year 1981, which regulates companies’ registration
under the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt
• BPI is engaged in design, construction and management, operation and maintenance of
power plants of different types, including electric power production and distribution,
export and import of electric power as well as the construction, management and
operation of seawater desalination plants and sewage water treatment plants
• BPI portfolio of projects operates under Independent Power Plant structure or Public-
Private Partnership (PPP) structure that follows Build-Own-Operate (BOO) approach
BPI Current Projects:
• The Company is currently engaged in implementing three projects:
1. A 1500 MW Combined Cycle Gas Fired Power Complex – Egypt:
The Project comprises of two phases BPI-1 & BPI-2 with a capacity of 750 MW per
phase
2. A 250 MW Wind Farm (BPI-Green) – Egypt:
BPI-Green 250 MW wind farm is located at the Gulf of Suez area and its wind
resources considered as comparable to the most favorable wind areas in
northwestern Europe
3. A 110 MW Concentrator Photovoltaic Solar Plant (BPI-Solar) – Egypt:
The Project is located in Aswan Governorate in upper Egypt which enjoys solar
resource available for CPV systems up to 2,000 hours with maxima of 3,200
kWh/m²/year

• Benchmark Mining Company, S.A.E (BMC) is a joint stock company incorporated in
Egypt in October, 2008 according to Law No. 159/1981. The Company specializes in
mining and related activities of importation, exportation and commercial agencies
• BMC specializes in the exploitation, processing and treatment of mineral resources
including Feldspar, Quartz, Talc, Iron Oxide, Phosphate, Limestone, Dolomite, Granite,
Marble, Mud and White Sand
BMC Areas of Focus
• BMC has entered into a Joint Production Agreement (JPA) with the Egyptian Mineral
Resources Authority (EMRA), the public authority entrusted by the State to exclusively
handle geological mapping of Egypt and is also entrusted by the State for exploration
and exploitation of Egypt’s mineral wealth, and to jointly pursue mining opportunities
with private partners like BMC in designated geographical areas all over Egypt
BMC Current Projects
• BMC has secured a Feldspar mine, west of the City of Safaga, Egypt. According to the
tests performed on samples taken, the mine is of top quality feldspar, with a high
potassium concentration of 11.00% in the ore. The estimated recoverable reserve is
about 1 million tons
• BMC commenced extraction activities of feldspar, white sand and quartz, all of which
are earmarked for export
