The document discusses how job search and career management have changed dramatically in the last 5 years. It contrasts the "old model" of career management from the 2010 model. The old model relied on tools like CVs organized by reverse chronology, job boards, and cover letters. The 2010 model emphasizes individual development and reputation through tools like social networks, blogs, publishing content and gaining recommendations. It argues the CV needs to be reimagined for the 2010 model to focus more on expertise, contributions and networks over just job titles and duties.
