This project compares Kuala Lumpur "before and after" through a mobile application. The app aims to show how places in Kuala Lumpur have changed over time as the city developed, such as the original site of Masjid Jamek where Kuala Lumpur began. It also aims to educate younger generations and tourists about the city's culture and heritage. The app allows users to view different visuals of selected locations as they were in the past compared to the present.

2. 1 - Research Topic:
 The topic is about Kuala Lumpur “before and after”.
2 - Background:
 Sharing the information about certain place in Kuala Lumpur that already existed long
time ago.
3 - Problem Identification:
 During that time, what have change? Of course the building have change but how about
the people? Culture? It’s the same as before? Things are definitely changed between those
times. So, those changes are giving side effects to our current life now a day. Is it bad or
good news?
4 - Aim and Objective:
 My aim is to show the changes between those times. How far the Kuala Lumpur have
developed to achieve to this level. My objective is to mention people not to forget who we
really are and our origin. Other is to share the information with tourist.

 Kuala Lumpur is the develop city in Malaysia. So I want the next generation to learn and not forget
about those changes because that who we really are.
6 - Ideation and Concept
 The idea to show the famous place in Kuala Lumpur so when they walk thru, the visual of current
Kuala Lumpur will change to the old. The second idea is showing the top view of the Kuala Lumpur is
like maps when user click on the certain place it will show the information about that place.

8 - Design Approach
 Project the visual at the wall than when people walking by it will change the visual. The visual will
changes from the current to the old days.

6.  Kuala Lumpur the capital city of Malaysia starts off
from a small settlement where miners met at the
confluence of two rivers. The rivers which formed a
confluence with the Gombak and Klang river.
 The Malay words ‛Kuala’ meaning river mouth and
“Lumpur” meaning muddy, so how the name “Kuala
Lumpur” came to be. The site is where Masjid Jamek
now stands.
 Masjid Jamek was built in 1909. Until the completion
of Masjid Negara in 1965, Masjid Jamek served as KL’s
main mosque.

7.  The Petaling Street (Chinatown) in Kuala Lumpur is
like the Bukit Bintang of the older part of Kuala
Lumpur. It is a place where the hustling and bustling
never comes to an end. Day or night, visitors keep
coming to Petaling Street to either dine on the famous
street foods here or to get some good bargains on
things sold here. Petaling Street is the shoppers'
paradise if you want to bargain your way to some cheap
things. There is almost everything here from
clothes, souvenirs to electronic items to fabrics.

certain places in Kuala Lumpur what is the different
between before and now.
 This application show the changes between those times.
How far the Kuala Lumpur have developed to achieve to
this level. The objective is to share information so people
new generation will not forget our culture and heritage.
Not only sharing with our people but to the whole world.
 This application is available in the android market. User
just need to download the application to thier own smart
phone and experience it.
