To whom it may concern,
Please find attached a reference for Rebecca (Becky) McCord-Whitlock.
I worked with Becky in my role as Chief Architect of Dell Inc’s Software Group over the last three years.
During that period we worked together on a number of projects where I found her to be highly competent
and hence I have no hesitation in recommending her highly.
An example project we worked closely on was to create and run the Dell Software Group Architecture Board
(DSG AB). The DSG AB was a forum created to enable the senior technical leaders to get together to
discuss key business problems, and to foster collaboration across a diverse set of development teams.
With the DSG AB, Becky assumed the role of the manager of the DSG AB where she worked with the senior
technical leaders to define the agendas for, and to coordinate and run, the meetings. The meetings were
both call-in meetings and face-to-face meetings. Needless to say, herding a collection of vocal and
opinionated senior technical leaders was a challenge, but Becky was more than up to the task.
Another area of responsibility for Becky’s was a Chief of Staff for the CTO organization (of which I was a
member). Again, Becky worked with us to drive the organization of a set of opinionated and un-punctual
senior technical leaders.
In these, and other projects where we worked together, she was unfailingly polite, yet focused, and driven so
we were able to address the issues at hand. Again, I have no hesitation in recommending Becky for any role
and I am willing to answer any questions (on the phone or via email) about our work together and my
experiences working with her.
Sincerely yours,
