Bear Grylls was born in 1974 and got his nickname "Bear" from his sister as a baby. He left school to join the British Army and served with the Territorial Army and SAS. He has had an illustrious adventure career, climbing Everest and making daring crossings of oceans. Grylls became famous for his TV show "Man vs Wild" and has authored many books, including his autobiography "Mud, Sweat, and Tears". He also served as the youngest Chief Scout and sells outdoor apparel bearing his name.
