- 3. Biblical meditation is not EMPTYING the mind, but ENGAGING the mind on the word, works, and wonders of God. Psalms link the BLESSED life to those who WALK in God’s ways after MEDITATING on God’s word. The psalmist presents TWO paths…
- 4. “He is going to present godliness positively as the way of the one who DELIGHTS in the law” (Boice) If you want to be blessed you do not WALK in the counsel of the wicked, STAND in the way of sinners, or SIT in the seat of mockers. Blessed is the person who delights in and meditates on the INSTRUCTION of the Lord.
- 5. Delighting in is expressed here by MEDITATING on. Meditating is REFLECTING on God’s word, for the purpose of LIVING by it Meditation helps build the bridge from right THINKING to right LIVING Meditating on God’s word helps sink DEEP ROOTS for continual nourishment.
