After completion of Hydro Quebec’s La Romaine hydroelectric plant, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers sold over 200 late-model heavy construction equipment items located in a remote area of northern Quebec. All assets were sold via Virtual Ramp, with over CA$8.5 million of the equipment purchased by online bidders. Assets were sold to buyers from Australia, Chile, Saudi Arabia & United Arab Emirates.
Hosted at the Southland Resource’s Brookland mine site north east of Tuscaloosa, Ritchie Bros. sold 200+ items of mining & earthmoving equipment as part of a major dispersal.
Bidders participated from 39 countries & purchased $6.9 million online. Highlights included a 2012 Komatsu PC2000 which sold for US$1,575,000 to a buyer from Singapore & a 2011 Caterpillar 777F that sold for US$680,000 to a buyer from Illinois.
Other items were sold to international buyers from Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Jordan & Columbia.
At the Grand Opening sale of our new auction site in Raleigh-Durham, NC, Trinity Coal Corp. sold 300+ items of mining & earthmoving equipment as part of a major divestment in non-strategic assets from coal mining operations in Kentucky & West Virginia. This consignment included 61 Caterpillar D11s – the largest fleet ever sold. The auction was simulcast at the auction site in Las Vegas during MINEXPO & more that US$31 million of equipment was sold to online bidders.
