Diabetes and Me
My first few years with diabetes
This was me... 327 Lbs

I was a happy go lucky network architect, and I was often saying I’m tired or have a headache.
I was going to the bathroom a ton, and I would drink sodas nonstop.
Then August 3 2011 5:04PM ...
The Doctor
wants to speak
with you...
No I can’t tell you over the phone, it
would be best if you came in today
A1C 11.4 - 364mg/dl
I ... a grown man ... cried
until my poor dog was soaked.

I was still struggling to get it under control but I was making progress, and I had a suspicion
but not proof that I was having a reaction to the medicine.

Diabetes has a ceiling to the care, and part of that is money/insurance related. I want to
break that trend. Others should stand triumphant over this disease with me.
