Hippolytus in 215

“When they come to the water, let the water
be pure and flowing. And they shall put off
their clothes. And they shall baptize their
children first. And if they can answer. But if
they cannot, let their parents or someone
 from their family.”

Infant Baptism
03/15/12 prepared by: joan christi trocio 11

 The infant is oriented toward the
good, toward God, rather than toward
    evil.

 Infant baptism is a path to salvation,
removing original sin of infants and
bringing them into state of grace.

 What about those who are not Christians
and have never been baptized with water
    and Spirit?

                 God wills all
                  men to be
                  saved and
                  know the
                    Truth.

know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, yet
sincerely seek God and moved by grace, strive by
their deeds to do His will as it is known to them
through the dictates of their conscience can attain
  eternal salvation.” (Lumen Gentium 16)
