This document discusses Bangladeshi workers and industrialization in Bangladesh. It defines different types of workers such as trainees, temporary, part-time, and permanent. It also examines the classification and increasing contribution of industry to GDP in Bangladesh. Some key causes of industrial backwardness are identified as lack of capital, infrastructure, and technological knowledge. Child labor statistics are provided showing 13.4% of children ages 5-14 work. Employment rates in agriculture and services from 2009-2019 are shown. Finally, different living conditions of workers such as housing, bosti, factory accommodation, and group housing are outlined.
