VISIBILITY
VISIBILITY
According from Cambridge
dictionary, it is the degree to
which something is seen.
INTERNAL
PUBLICS
THE INTERNAL PUBLIC
INCLUDES:
• The Administrators
• The Teaching Staff
• The Non-Teaching Staff
• The Students
VISIBILITY OF THE
ADMINISTRATORS
The level of visibility it helps build trust and
credibility with the stakeholders. Transparency in
school administration is necessary to provide a solid
answer to such questions as where the majority of
the budget is being directed to & what percentages
of students are failing or passing each year.
VISIBILITY OF THE TEACHING
STAFF
A modern teacher needs to always be visible to:
• Keep students connected and engaged.
• Provide clear lines of communication.
• Offer academic feedback to inform learning.
• Provide support and guidance when needed.
VISIBILITY OF THE NON TEACHING
STAFF
The non-teaching staff is deemed as the allies of
teachers and schools' administrators. Without the
non-teaching staff, the everyday work of an
institution dwindles. Without their contributions, areas
such as administration, health services, cleanliness,
and logistics could suffer, affecting the overall quality
of education and student experience.
VISIBILITY OF THE STUDENTS
Attendance begets discovery, exploration,
learning, and achievement: it is the keystone of
student growth and well-being.
“To be seen by
stakeholders is the
easy part of visibility .
The challenging task
is what the person
does while being
visible.”

📍Appropriate Parental Involvement
📍Involving Parents While They Are at School
📍Involving Parents While they Are at Home
The External Public Includes:
📍Appropriate Parental Involvement
• Parental involvement may include classroom volunteering, chaperoning
school events, participating in parent-teacher conferences and other
communication with teachers. Educators largely control these activities,
inviting parents to participate
• Parental involvement refers to parents' participation in their children's
education at home and school. This can take many forms, such as helping
with homework, attending school events and parent-teacher
conferences, participating in decision-making processes, or regularly
communicating with the child's teacher.
There are many ways that parents can get involved in their
children’s education. Some of the most common include:
Helping with homework: Parents can help their
children with homework by providing guidance,
support, and encouragement.
Attending school events: Parents can show their
support for their children’s education by attending
school events such as open houses, parent-teacher
conferences, and school plays.
Participating in decision-making processes: Parents
can have a voice in their children’s education by
participating in school decision-making processes,
such as serving on a school committee or joining a
parent-teacher organization.
Communicating with the school: Parents can stay
informed about their children’s education by
communicating with the school regularly. This can be
done through Facebook, email, phone calls, or in-
person meetings.
Volunteering in the classroom: Parents can
contribute to their children’s education by
volunteering in the classroom or on a school
committee.
Supporting the school: Parents can show their
support by participating in fundraisers, attending
school events, or becoming a member of the
school’s Parent-Teacher Organization
📍Involving Parents While They Are at School
• The family-school partnership can take the form of
parents discussing education matters with their child,
helping with homework, supervising their child's
progress through education, communicating with
school personnel, participating in decision making, and
being involved in school activities.
Ways to Get Involved
📍
Ask your teacher how they would like to
communicate. For each teacher, find out
whether phone calls, emails, or texts are
the best way to stay up-to-date on
progress and communicate if a problem
arises. Don’t be afraid to speak up for your
adolescent’s needs.
Encourage reading. Helping your children develop a
love of reading is the single most important thing
you can do to help them succeed in school and in
life.
Help manage the homework process. Let your teen
know you think education is important and that
homework is a priority. Set aside a special place to
study and establish a regular time for homework.
📍Involving Parents While They Are at Home
Parental involvement in home-based education covers a
wide range of issues, such as parental expectations for their
children's academic future, home supervision, emotional
engagement regarding school problems, the extent to which
parents help their children learn for school assignments or
homework (e.g., supervising and checking homework), and
parents' interactions with their children about school, or
frequency of parent--child communication (Benner, Boyle, &
Sadler, 2016; Castro et al., 2015; W. Fan et al., 2018;
Yotyodying & Wild, 2016).
10 Tips for Parents
1. Set up a daily family routine, including healthy
eating and sleeping habits
2. Provide a place and time at home for homework
3. Check on assignments, homework and projects
4. Talk each day with your child about his/her
activities
5. Promote literacy by reading to your child and by
reading yourself
6. Limit and monitor TV watching, gaming, social media and
computer time
7. Express high expectations and standards for your child’s
learning
8. Attend parent-teacher conferences, Open House and
Back-To-School events
9.Participate in decisions that affect your child’s education
10. Tap into community resources with visits to a library,
museum, zoo or theater and encourage participation in
after-school clubs, sports and art activities.
