This document provides information about earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education through Lees-McRae College's extended campus programs at Mayland Community College or Western Piedmont Community College. Students can complete an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and additional coursework, or an Associate of Arts and transfer requirements. New cohorts begin in fall 2013 at Mayland and spring 2013 at Western Piedmont. The program requires passing scores on Praxis exams and involves coursework in the junior and senior years covering topics like education foundations, teaching methods, and student teaching.
