This document discusses the partnership between Microsoft Azure and GE's Predix platform for industrial IoT. For Microsoft, the partnership will help existing industrial customers build and operate IIoT solutions using Azure's capabilities in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and security. For GE, Predix will benefit from Azure's large global footprint and hybrid cloud capabilities. The combination of Predix and Azure aims to bridge the gap between operational technology and information technology for industrial customers worldwide.

What it means to Microsoft?
 Existing industrial customers rapidly build,
securely deploy and effectively operate
industrial IoT solutions
 GE's experience in Industrial IoT Space
(manufacturing turbines, locomotives and jet
engines), what data is crucial to collect, how
to analyze it, and what to look for among
anomalies
 Projection is amount of data collected from
IoT devices will be twice what is already
generated by the consumer Internet, this will
help in growth and adoption of Azure
What it means to GE?
 Microsoft is the second largest cloud provider
with the largest footprint and has the highest
growth rate
 Predix will be enhanced by Azure with artificial
intelligence, advanced data visualizations, and
natural language technology
 Azure will help Predix service adoption
worldwide with out of the box support to data
sovereignty requirements in Europe and other
parts of the world
 Microsoft is an industry leader in Hybrid cloud
making Predix practical for more customers
