It was decided to restore the former military zone, which currently has no function, in the city of Ferrara in the
Emiglia Romagna Region in Italy, taking into account the protection rules. Instead of the building that will be
demolished, a structure suitable for the needs has been designed in accordance with the concept. One of the biggest
problems of the university and the city is the lackness of accommodation. After the analysis, it has been revealed
that the university needs many study areas and dormitories. In this direction, the renovation and accommodation
spaces in the designed structure, spaces that bring the public and students together, that will provide socialization
and increase the interaction of people. Although open spaces can serve temporary uses, they vary in use according
to the season. The renovation of four blocks has been realized, and the designed mass works together with one of
the four blocks, cavalleriza, and serves the concept.

Considering the concept, a synthesis was created as a result of the analyzes. In order to protect the creek, which is
one of the most important points of the area, a 50 m protection band was built. At the same time, A green social area
can be created at the edge of the creek by using the potential of the creek. With the recycling of the Maritime Voca-
tional School camp, it will become a commercial tourism area. At the same time, with the construction of the head-
man’s office in the village square, integration of the site with the villager and the concept will be strengthened and
the concept will be introduced to the villagers here. In this way, an experimental ring will be created with the recrea-
tion area next to the creek, the Roman Bath, the archaeological site, the new commercial tourism area formed by the
recycling of the Maritime Vocational School camp, and the headman’s office in the village square. The experimental
ring, the recreation area next to the creek and the area at the intersection of the Roman Bath will thus create a so-
cial area where cultural and sportive activities take place. With the intersection of students, informatics and villagers
in our field; IZTECH students with innovative ideas will have the opportunity to embody their ideas thanks to the IT
professionals who are investors, while the villagers will provide the necessary manpower at this stage.
14. OBJECTIVE
To create a place where people with different skills can share their knowledge and experiences and bring
different users together
Providing individuals with the opportunity to discover themselves
STRATEGY
To create a new production area aiming to increase learning, differentiation and competitive
To integrate this production area locally
VISION
The learning region that produces innovative and collaborative knowledge for all

25. DISEGNO AUTOMATICO ED ESECUTIVO - FERRARA/ITALY 2022
Professors: Arch. Ph.D. Luca Rossato
Tutor: Ph.D. (c) Filippo Petrocchi
Team: KOÇ AYÇA, MUSIG JULIA, SAMOGIN FRANCESCO, MONTI FRANCESCA
It was studied to obtain four different toys from the track whose basic element was given. The toys were designed
by transforming them into different kinds of trucks. 3D modeling was done through the Fusion 360 program and then
the prototype was created. Basic drawings were made in different scales, and toy designs were diversified with
detailed drawings. At the same time, renders were taken from Fusion 360.

Self housing takes its all needs from surrounding and place. Materials which used in the building are coming from
site itself. User profile is coming from the site area and also green area feeds from site’s vegetables and ecology.
Each house take sunlight at least 3 hours in a day. That is to say, by using its earth, it will exist, it will live and it will
keep site alive. Also purpose is that people who live in this area will not affect from the urban transformation.
With site analysis, some decisions for Self-Housing;
•Revitalizing Urban Dynamics (Cultural-Social-Ecological) (Project has special space for this purpose)
•Conformity to Traditional Production (In ground floor, there is bostan)
•Functional Innovation (Materials belong to site, but different purpose. F.e. Wood is used as a sunshaind material.)
•Innovative Eco-Life Suitable For Nature Revitalizing Of Activities
•Provides Private Areas (Each house has balcony and some communal terraces.)
•Social Entegration (In communal space, there is social activity and recreation areas.)
•Coexistence Is Provided With Common Areas (There is terraces in the building and they are common areas)
•Self housing protects the Meles River and it does not touch the river.
32. PRECIPITATION, WIND DIRECTION AND SUN ORIENTATION
In plot 6, there is a sight slope increase towards to Meles stream by 3 meters.

BUILDING TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE
Professors: Koray KORKMAZ
Tutor: Aslıhan Çevik, Ece Güleç
Team: AYÇA KOÇ, NIHAT ARI
A store design was made in Çeşme. Detailed drawings were worked on, along with plan, facade and section views.

Professors: Ela ÇİL
Tutor: DEniz CANARAN
By: AYÇA KOÇ
After the site was determined, analyzes were made around it. During the emergence of the concept in line with the
analyzes made, it was revealed that there was a need to bring together university students, villagers and students in
need of help in the village of Gülbahçe. In this way, people living here would have the opportunity to share their
experiences. The venues were decided accordingly.
At the same time, it was decided to use the local materials from the stone quarries, which were also revealed after
the analysis, in the building. In this way, the building would be able to work with the region it was in.

71. ANIMAL SHELTER ANF VET CLINIC - İZMİR/TURKEY 2019
Professors: MUSTAFA EMRE İLAL
Tutor: Nil Nadire GELİŞGAN
By: AYÇA KOÇ
The site, which was the old bus stop, had to be designed in line with the needs of the area. Complete analyzes of Urla
and its surroundings were made and questionnaires were created. After these studies, it was learned that there
were too many stray animals in the region and in the university area and there were problems when they needed
help.
In order to minimize this situation, it was decided to design a building that could both work as a veterinary clinic and
serve as a shelter on the area. At the same time, it would host the volunteer projects carried out by the students,
and it would have been a place where the people living in the region could bring their pets and socialize. In line with
these expectations, the program of the building was determined and designed on.
