The creative industries includes all the sectors whose
goods and services are based on intellectual property. Creative
industries are also called orange economy because orange is a
dominant color for culture, creativity and identity in ancient Egypt.
Orange economy is also developing in our country and it has a
great potential thanks to the young population and the multi-lay-
ered cultural structure that the city has. But there is a huge gap
between the individuals educated in the current education system
and what the industry needs. Therefore, the necessary employment
cannot be provided and we do not have enough workforce for
creative industries. In order to fill this gap, connection between
industry and universities need to be strengthened. In the project, a
modernized version of the master-apprentice relationship is
suggested as an education model with today's needs in order to
provide opportunities for individuals who want to learn.
The important point here is that the master trains the
apprentice practically in the business environment. The first job of
the master is to make the apprentice observe. After a certain
period of time, the master allows apprentice to assist. At the last
phase, apprentice, who gets experience after a certain period of
time, starts working without assistance. In this way, the apprentice
proves his mastery. The criticized aspects of the master apprentice
education model can be listed as follows;
- Providing one correct solution for the task.
- It does not allow the individual to think deeply as it does not
provide sufficient theoretical knowledge to the individual.
- The master does not allow the freedom and creativity of the
apprentice and thus prevents the apprentice from making unique
productions
When talking about Orange Economy, these criticized
issues become more important. Because a system that restricts the
freedom of these industries which are based on creativity and
originality, is unacceptable. At this point, the project offers a
solution proposal. In this proposal, individuals who wants to learn,
will have benefit zones where they will work with their master. In
addition, they work in transition zones where they can produce
and discover theirself and develop their unique approach. While
these spaces are being set up, the master's daily path passes
through the apprentice workshops. In this way, the master can both
feed from his apprentice productions and give critical to his/her
apprentices for their production. The productions of individuals
who produce in different branches of creative industries go to a
spreading zone. While the productions are exhibited in this zone,
it is aimed for individuals from different branches to be inspired by
each other's productions and to communicate with each other. In
addition, this zone, which allows the exhibited products to reach
the public, provides a financial return to the craftsmen and
designers.
4. The proposed project program focuses on the master-apprentice relationship. In design, the
space requirement for the development and efficiency of the relationship is mainly considered . In this
way, easy access to the production areas will be provided and it will be easier for the master to follow
the development of his apprentice. In addition, workshops where the apprentice can work on their own
are designed in the spatial arrangement to solve one of the previously mentioned problems in the mas-
ter-apprentice relationship, as not being original. While working in the workshop, apprentice can get
feedback from his master at any time to benefit from the experience.
The order of 'accommodation - individual workshop - master-apprentice workshop' was used
while positioning the spaces. In this way, even while the master is doing his daily work, his relationship
with his apprentice will be strengthened as his path will pass through individual workshops. By interact-
ing with other apprentices in individual workshops, the apprentice can develop his own point of view
and also benefit others.
In addition, a pool has been designed where the products from the production workshops will
be collected and displayed to the public. This pool, on the other hand, will meet the need for show
space for every creative industry with its flexible space setup.

5. Maçka Park is a place currently used by people from all types due to the different functional structures around
it. This difference in the user profile creates a huge potential for the area. The project was designed with this
difference as a reference. Spaces were created where users of different profiles can come together, share
learn, produce and exhibit their works.

6. Reconfigurable Exhibiton Area Units
In order to have a more flexible design in the exhibition areas, movable
panels were used. With this way spaces that can address different
programs were created.

7. Conflicts in countries such as Syria, Libya and Afghanistan have led to millions of refugees in recent years. Countries
and non-governmental organizations provided many funding to meet the basic needs of these refugees. However, the number
of refugees are increasing day by day with wars, disasters and conflicts in the world. For this reason, the aids provided are
insufficient. Many of the refugees have to live in bad conditions for long periods in tents that should be used temporarily .
The aim of this project is to enable the usage of 3d printing technology while meeting education space requirements in order
to use the aid in the most cost effective way.
