Executive Summary
The AWS Cloud Adoption Journey Simulation is an experiential workshop that enables
an organization’s leadership team to go through a representative use case of a
company’s cloud adoption journey. The workshop breaks the core group into distinct
teams and each team progresses through the simulation as if they were leading the
use case organization’s cloud adoption journey by, for example, connecting IT and
business goals to their cloud strategy and roadmap, make corresponding investments
to meet the goals, all the while trying to increase; IT Efficiency, Agility, Quality of
Service, and Innovation.
The goal of the workshop is to accelerate an organization’s cloud adoption by letting
them experience real-world impacts of a cloud journey given the operating model
changes they select to invest in. The workshop can be paired with identifying a
company’s associated cloud journey and helping establish their overall strategic
approach for operating in the cloud. This is a half day to full day event, depending on
how the workshop is paired with other strategic initiatives.
