play an instrumental role in diagnostic testing for cardiac patients and the STEMI call team
 Act as DMS Coordinator / Super User and was integral during a transition to a new MacLab
software system which included importing and updating and assigning procedure descriptions and
billing codes, CPT codes, and inventory management
 Maintain an expert level knowledge in computerized charting methods, act as liaison between the
Emergency Department and Cardiac Cath Lab, and represent the department within the Nursing
Staffing Effectiveness Committee
 Play a role in creating call schedules, reconciling/auditing patient charts, managing internal data
management systems, and devising comprehensive departmental reports
 Analyze and review patient records, extract pertinent data, create reports and spreadsheets to
evaluate trends, track key indicators and multiple case types and volumes monthly. Assist
physicians in case reports for credentialing purposes. Review case charts to evaluate if correct billing
codes and inventory was charged appropriately. Report monthly case and physician totals to
director to give directly to administration with spreadsheet trend graphs and assess and compare
physician procedure costs and medication usage for pharmacy and administration
 Manage the DMS system for updates in personnel, assist with billing reconciliation, and any other
reports requested by Director or for inventory semi-annual report to administration
 Discovered, and corrected, severe billing issue with new DMS (Data Management System” billing
interface to ensure this billing error did not continue to cost Thousands of dollars per error
 Experience working with Cerner Power Chart, MacLab, DMS, and other EMR
