A practice that aids
in the development
of an internal sense
of full stillness and
silence is tuning into
the open space of
awareness.
There is empty space between and within
solid objects.
It passes through the beginning of a physical
object rather than stopping there.
Space is without boundaries, timeless, devoid of
features, and it unites everything in existence.
All objects share space as their common source,
from which they all develop.
You have always been a vital element in the
universe.
Through space, you are linked to everything
and everyone.
This holds true for every living thing,
including you.
Space is the ideal illustration of a non-object.
The thinking mind becomes quieter as you tune
into this space within and around you.
Your perception of reality starts to change.
Calmly tune into your senses as you observe the
immensity of space.
You are an intricate part of this space.
This technique slows and quiets the racing
mind, which is one of its major advantages.
You deepen your awareness of the present moment
as you start to tune into the open space of your being.
You see that stress, worry, and fear start to fade as ideas,
beliefs,
and anxieties about the past or the future start to diminish.
You may increase your sense of spatial awareness
through a variety of mindfulness practices.
It also helps to be aware that
space is all around us.
In actuality,
space
makes up
99.9% of the
human
body.
To strengthen your
awareness of this,
you can close your
eyes and center
yourself through
mindfulness of the
breath.
Then tune into all the areas where you can
sense that space is there.
This awareness of space will grow and widen
as you practice more.
