Finn Church Aid (FCA) is Finland's largest international development organization, dedicated to
promoting human rights and sustainable development worldwide that focuses on education,
livelihood support, and humanitarian assistance, ensuring that vulnerable communities can thrive
even in the face of adversity.
In its recent presence in Ethiopia, FCA is launching a Creative and Digital Economy Hub in
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the aim to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration
among emerging talents in our community.
The Creators and Digital Economy Hub will serve as a collaborative space where young people
can access resources, mentorship, and training in various digital technologies, including content
creation, coding, digital marketing, and more.
By empowering our youth with these skills, we aim to enhance their employability and
entrepreneurial potential. This initiative aims to equip our youth with essential digital skills and
foster innovation in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The hub is now accepting applications for its forthcoming training workshop on Digital Skills.
The training is intended for young youths aims to provide young individuals with the skills,
knowledge, and opportunities needed to thrive in the burgeoning digital and creative sectors.
Training Workshop Overview
The workshop aims to help participants:
 provide comprehensive training and coaching in the business and practice of digital
marketing,
 Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing Strategy
 Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
 Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
 Communication, team work and negotiation skills
 facilitate job placements and internship/apprenticeship opportunities for participants,
 create and enhance market linkages for freelancers to access paid contract opportunities.
The training will be powerful and entertaining, with group learning and interactive sessions. This
may include peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
Who should apply?
The training targets freelancers and graduates/alumni of TVET/university institutions and
individuals with prior training or work experience in areas related to Digital Marketing. It may
also involve sharing digital/physical awareness materials (posters, flyers, etc) and information
packs, information sessions, and advertising through digital platforms to attract both refugee and
host community talent young who are engaged in digital and creative sector. An individual
working as a researcher and/or on a research project.
Eligibility Criteria:
 Diploma, TVET 10+3 or First Degree holder;
 Recent graduates (not more than 5 years);
 Be able to communicate in both Amharic and English;
 Having interest engaging in digital and creative activities;
 Committed to avail for the training tentatively scheduled from October 8-December 30,
2024 and;
 Be based in Addis Ababa.

Cost of Training
There is no fee for attending the training course. The host (FCA) will cover all participant
expenses, including the trainer's fee, the cost of refreshments, hall, and certification. Furthermore,
Admas University will cover all participants transportation cost.
