There is a huge amount of data out there and a great deal of power and insight that we can gain from it — if we can just bring it all into focus and make it more manageable. Many industrial organizations are accomplishing this by building sophisticated HMI, SCADA, and MES projects with the Ignition Perspective Module.
Rockwell Automation technology was used to help Bausch & Lomb, one of the world’s largest suppliers of eye health products, create a framework for better enterprise-wide decision-making. We migrated Bausch & Lomb from a legacy DCS to the PlantPAx system. Using FactoryTalk Historian, we dramatically improved data storage, connected enterprise-level data with plant-level data and provided stakeholders with access to critical production and supply chain information. This automation technology has paid great dividends for Bausch & Lomb, and we will share how it can be successfully integrated.
