HOW IT WAS PRODUCED?

 The film was mainly shot at night this would prove a problem with
lighting needed to be accounted for with out giving away the
impression of dark scary night.

 The aliens in the film were actually men in suits but then vfx was
added afterwards. Joe Cornish said half way through that he wanted
the hair to be more clumpier and stand up more so that the viewers
would have no idea that the aliens were men in suits.
 In the shot above the lead characters, mosses, is chased down a corridor by a herd of 15 monsters.

 The main plate was shot with a tracking camera on rails, it included Moses, the corridor and two of the
creatures.

 Repeat passes were then shot of the additional creatures on green screen, without the help of motion control.

By using these methods of capturing life like aliens with men and not all special effects they saved a lot of money
and time
THE SOUNDTRACK
                (THE END)

 This was made by basement jacks and went with the film very well
as it was up beat and energetic.
 Basement jacks tend to do this style of music which is up beat and
energetic such as :
 Red alert
 Fly life
 raindrops
INSPIRATION

 He was inspired by old school aliens such as ET
