This document discusses how FME can be used for more than just GIS processing, including converting and manipulating spreadsheets, text files, and XML files. It demonstrates how FME was used to manipulate spreadsheet and text files by moving text between rows and parsing text into fields, and how XML data can be converted to a feature class in SDE by using an XML mapping file. Important FME transformers like lists, feature merger, and tester are also highlighted.
