S- State Objectives
Students will choose a descriptive word and an animal that represent their
knowledge of alliteration. They will group work to correlate and build a robot
that is representative of this knowledge. Ex: a fuscia flamingo that flaps. They
will have completed this goal with 90% accuracy within 2 days.

U-Utilizing Media and Materials
The kids will construct the alliteration bot using the recycled materials to
express their knowledge of this figurative language technique. They will use the
hummingbird robotics kit to make their robot perform an action using the
required software.
R- Require Learner Participation
Students will start their day by brainstorming what they will use to construct
their robot. They will have already thought of what they will build, and now it is
time to figure out how they will build it. Using provided materials they will
collaborate with their partner on how to make this robot function
2. appropriately. They will take notes of their journey that will add to their blog
reflection at the end of the week.
E- Evaluate and Revise
Students will be judged on their understanding based on their accuracy to
construct this robot and the creativity of their use of alliteration. Their grade
will not be based upon the look of their finished product, more so on the effort
and understanding of the used concepts. Their final reflection should be
representative of their journey in creating this robot.
