This document outlines assignments for an introduction to web application development course. Module 2 asks students to explain HTML5 specification rules, presentational markup changes, new structural elements, semantic elements for marking text, time/date, figures, and navigation, and new video, audio, form, and emerging elements. Module 3 covers CSS selectors, span and div elements, cascading and places rules can be defined, differences between style containers and attributes, CSS syntax and examples, and properties for color, fonts, text, borders, padding, and margins. It concludes with a case study on small city core areas.
