This document discusses the role of nurses in healthcare program design, implementation, and policymaking. It addresses opportunities for nurses to participate, such as through professional organizations and advocating within their workplace. However, there are also challenges like difficult registration processes and lack of cooperation or poor leadership. To promote greater nurse involvement, the document recommends training on their roles and fostering good leadership to create a supportive work environment where nurses can openly share ideas.

At all stages of their engagement, nurse-patient communication is critical. It is crucial in the initial stages of nurse-patient interaction because it establishes the context for why a patient has come to seek medical or health support. A nurse gets to hear from a patient about what led them to the medical center and what is wrong with them at the introduction stage. This is also the time when nurses may reassure their patients that they will provide all possible aid. Ethical considerations are crucial in the medical field.
During patient-nurse interactions, nurses have the opportunity to enlighten patients on their ethical obligations when it comes to the provision of medical services. Nurses and other health personnel also request agreement from patients at this point in order to perform specific operations or tests, as these procedures would not be possible without it (Jensen, 2015).
It is critical that nurses communicate with patients in a variety of ways. Nurses work with patients of all ages, genders, and cultures, as well as patients suffering from various illnesses. It is critical for a nurse to understand how to interact successfully with these patients in order to provide the best and most suitable nursing care. Nurses may choose to develop personal ties with their patients in order to better interact with them in certain situations, such as chronic diseases or while dealing with elderly patients. Kindness and compassion characterize personal interactions (Neese, 2015). The sort of communication that a nurse uses is determined by the patient's age and condition. The type of communication utilized with young patients differs from that used with adult patients. Patient-nurse communication is critical because it affects how a patient is treated.

In the highly unpredictable global business environment, it is quite tempting to approach strategic decision making with a specific goal already in mind. In most cases, these strategies are aimed at mitigating the problems as they are problem-focused. Organizations typically focus on areas that are not working as intended while adopting a root cause mindset only to find themselves faced with a set of different, but related questions down the line. An appreciative inquiry model is one of the critical positive enterprise approaches to development and collective learning (Ruhe, Bobiak, Litaker, Carter, Wu, Schroeder, Zyzanski, Weyer, Werner, Fry, & Stange, 2011). An appreciative inquiry is a collaborative and strength-based approach that aims at changing the organizations and other human systems. One of the fundamental proponents behind the appreciative inquiry is that with time it has come to be increasingly adopted by organizations as to approach changes and growth from a problem-solving perspective. Form appreciative inquiry approach organizations should strongly focus on improving efficiency, surviving, and better performance and not just solving what is wrong, which is a deficit-based approach.
Appreciative inquiry in health care
The appreciative inquiry in the health care facility in which I work as a nurse will mainly focus on improving care services, especially to underserved women. The approach will focus on the positive and creativity as the driving forces for an improved future of healthcare services as is described and embraced for execution as an intervention for the achievement of behavioral health change at the individual levels. Guiding proponent for its application with clients is offered with an example of its use demonstrated in improving care services for the women of low economic status in improving their lifestyle.
Leadership skills to promote effective healthcare
Some of the qualities and skills that are useful in ensuring there is effective healthcare delivery include: great communication skills, being able to set the vision for the healthcare organization and emotional intelligence skills (Adair, 2016). The leaders should have people management skills which enables them to focus efforts of the healthcare workforce and resources towards a common goal. To make projects a success the leaders must have adequate knowledge and experience in project management such as budgetary skills and effective decision-making skills. Having effective analytical skills enable a leader to effectively analyze all possible alternatives that can make any project successful.

Write approximately one paragraph that describes the action research project and the basis for it being addressed.
The action research project seeks to explore pertinent leadership effectiveness issue created by the healthcare reform process in healthcare institutions across the United States. The reform process has created a dynamic environment that is in constant flux. Essentially, healthcare reform institutionalization has proven to be very beneficial when it comes to reducing the rising cost of healthcare. Additionally, it helps ensure that effective delivery of primary care is achieved so as to diminish the prevalence of chronic illnesses such as diabetes and cardiac-related health problems. The shift towards preventive care for the reduction of chronic illnesses requires more engagement between the patients and the doctors and closer follow-ups of patient outcomes. This requires effective leadership when it comes to the creation a workforce that is responsive to long-term patient needs. This means the healthcare professionals such as the physicians and nurses need effective leadership in hospital management so as to ensure they are motivated and engaged in the change process through teamwork and partnerships within hierarchical structures. Nonetheless, the purpose of this action research is assess Micheal E. DeBakey VA Medical Center of Houston’s leadership so as to provide a leadership model that includes the most appropriate leadership qualities that can be adopted by the organization to create a dynamic healthcare environment. Essentially, the action research project will involve a qualitative analysis of case studies related to leadership mechanisms within the institution and how they influence employee and patient outcomes. Based on the findings of the studies conducted, the possibility of using the proposed leadership model to improve outcomes will also be gauged. As a manager in Ford Rehabilitation centre, I have encountered several challenges in both external environment and internal environment that have greatly challenged the increasing demands of my patients’ services as well as failure of the reimbursements of funds by the insurance providers. Environmental conditions normally affect human health in varied means. Interactions between the environment and human health usually lead to very complex ethical queries that are related to health policy decisions. There are various factors in the environment that can lead to risks and the same time benefits. They include genetically modified plants, nanotechnology, bio fuels and other technology. There is a body of evidence that have emerged saying that environment can affect the health of human being and at the same time human health can have impact to the environment.
The external factors are factors in the environment that cannot be controlled by an organization. There are several external factors that affect many health organizations; these factors include political conditions, government policies and regulations, technological environment and social environment. In my organization the two key external factors affecting my company are the social environment and technological environment. Social factors have developed challenge in the Ford rehabilitation centre. This is because many patient customers have varied and different types of beliefs which make the relations in the health centre challenged. It have become problematic to deal with some patients since it is difficult to know the type of services they need based on where they have come from. Various patients have diverse transformation in attitude towards health care. The patients are however very demanding in my organization because each one of them needs to be handled differently based on community variations. In order to curb this, as manager I have decided to implement several programs that will promote cooperation between my patients as well amendments that will bring in suitable services to each patient. Implementation of this programs will enable my organization to continue being indispensible and financially stable despite the social challenges affecting the availability of patients in the organization.
Another external factor in the environment that will have a great impact in my company is technological environment. Implementation of more advanced methods to serve my customers is likely to improve patients’ attendance and this will boost the compan.

Medication error being a systematic problem is not a new case. It is something that nurses and other healthcare providers have experienced. The error could be a result of recurring issues of just human error. It could also lead to more severe injuries where the patient could find themselves with a new condition such as itching rashes or skin problems that could either be temporary or permanent. These medication errors could even lead to death in some cases, significantly hurting the patient's family, especially when they know that the death of their loved one could have been prevented. It could make the healthcare provider responsible for the error start doubting themselves and start feeling guilty and ashamed for the action. It could even lead to depression throughout their life. If the deceased's family decides to file a lawsuit against the nurse or the one who was responsible, it could result in them losing their license. Medication errors can also impact the hospital where the healthcare provider is working, and patients even lose trust in the kind of treatment offered in that hospital. The occurrence of medication errors could cause the organization not to achieve its goals and objectives of providing quality care to patients for better results. Since human is to error, a medication error of not greater than 5% is allowed, but currently, it is at 39.5% (Barker et al. 2020)
As a nursing leader, I would recommend using various strategies to help minimize the occurrence of such medication errors in the future. The management should make it their responsibility to establish a safety culture and constantly report the current system and how it is performing. Healthcare providers should understand that humans are to error, and no one is to be blamed or receive a harsh form of punishment. The healthcare provider responsible for the medication error should acknowledge their mistake and report to the nursing leaders or the supervisor in charge to ensure patient safety before things get worse.
Nursing is a vital profession in the healthcare sector, mainly concerned with providing quality care to individuals and families. However, it has been discovered that there is a gap between the expected outcomes and the actual results. As a nursing leader, I will present the matter before other executive leaders to ensure care has been improved. Even though care is the primary concern of nurses, other healthcare providers should also work to ensure quality and safety outcomes. It is the responsibility of every individual in the organization. They should ensure to utilize evidence-based information and apply this knowledge to assess the ability of the entire organization to provide evidence-based care delivery. Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.

PAPERSRNs and APRNs have various opportunities that that can enable them to participate
actively in policy making. Nurses are registered members of different professional
organizations that enable to them to participate actively in policy making. Through
enrollment to these organizations in different state jurisdictions enable to take part in
policy making. Membership to organizations such as the American Nurses Association
makes it possible for nurses to actively participate in policy making (McGuire ET AL., 2017).
This is promoted by analyzing and reviewing the existing the health policies. These
organizations offer the needed opportunity to assess the different aspects of the health
policies and contribute in policy making that safeguards the interests of the RNs and APRNs,
and ensure that these interests are in best interest of the patients by ensuring the quality of
care is safeguarded.Besides, the workplace environment provides the RNs and APRNs with
another opportunity for policy making. Workplace presents an important opportunity for
nurses that can utilize to deliver healthcare to their patients. Since healthcare workers have
an influence in their workplace, they can use it to influence healthcare systems by
promoting policy review related to healthcare delivery by focusing on policies that
contribute to efficiency and improved performance in the workplace by ensuring healthcare
standards expected by their patients are met (Nantsupawat et al., 2017). The workplace
enables the nurses to advocate for policies that affect efficiency, thus an important
opportunity which they use to influence policy change.Challenges PresentedDespite these
opportunities availing policy making role for nurses, there are also challenges that hinder
full participation in policy making. One of the challenges is the difficulties that registering in
professional organizations present to nurses, thus limit their participation in policy making
2. (Lee, Hwang & Moon, 2020). Focusing on making the process efficient and brief would help
reduce the complexity of the registration process. This would make the process for
registering in nursing professional organizations simple. This should embark on reviewing
the leadership to reduce inefficiencies associated with poor leadership to ensure
responsibility and accountability.Another challenge is presented by the workplace
environment. To begin with workplace is faced with lack of cooperation and conflicts that
make it hard for the RNs and APRNs to remain united when advocating for a policy change.
Such problems can be overcome if there is goodwill among the nurses to work as a team
and cooperate when advocating for change. Teamwork should be promoted by ensuring
that nurses speak in one voice when reviewing policy change aimed at promotion of quality
within the work place. Another challenge can emanate from poor leadership, which might
present a hurdle for nurses’ participation in policy making. This can come in form of poor
work environment that support nurses dynamism and participation in policy process.
Leaders can turn to a more inclusive policy review process so that nurses can participate
comfortably. NURS-6050 Assignment PsychiatryStrategy RecommendationTo promote
policy making among the nurses include proper training and promoting good leadership.
Training enables the nurses to comprehend their roles and responsibilities. On the other
hand, good leadership would advocate on making a better workplace environment that
motivate the workers to participate in policy making process. Leadership also enables the
nurses to openly share their views on how policies can be improved to promote efficiency
within the workplace. Besides, good leadership presents an opportunity for nurses to
register within professional organizations that which are critical in creating an opportunity
to participate I policy review.ReferencesLee, S., Hwang, C., & Moon, M. J. (2020). Policy
