How are different social groups portrayed in the mass media in contemporary society? How far have we come in terms of reducing or eliminating stereotypical images and portrayals of minority groups? To answer these questions, we need to place them in the context of the economic, technological, and social changes that have shaped postindustrial U.S. society and affected relationships between diverse groups in our society. social movement, communication process, or individual they find particularly interesting. Once a
text or case study is chosen, students should embark on a scholarly research project. In order to
make an argument, it is vital to have textual support. A minimum of EIGHT (8) outside ACADEMIC
sources about their particular research project are required. Remember, this is a minimum—to write

Her eye contact is minimal, tantrums are common, crying happens daily, and change is very difficult for her.
Case Study 2: Wilson
Wilson is an 11-year-old boy who was diagnosed with ASD as a toddler. He is physically healthy, but he is very sensitive to hot, cold, noises, and pain. He does not like crowds or lines and struggles with class assemblies, lunch time periods, and recesses. He is in a self-contained special education classroom on a public school campus and attends general education class for music only. He is capable of doing some general education class work, but his behavior is far too unpredictable to make further placement in a general education classroom feasible at this time. He can be impulsive and destructive when frustrated or overwhelmed. He is quite social and enjoys interacting with his peers in both settings; however, it can be difficult to discern when he will have a meltdown. He has tantrums and destroys property, and his participation in some aspects of school is limited. When changes in the schedule occur, such as school assemblies or fire drills, Wilson has a hard time adjusting and oftentimes tips over desks or kicks. He has not been able to attend the last two field trips due to his parents’ concerns for his safety.
Case Study 3: Cole
Cole is a 16-year-old boy with ASD and cognitive delays. He was born three weeks premature and required intensive neonatal care for six weeks after birth, but he is currently in good health. He passed all hearing and vision screenings. Cole uses gestures and a few verbal words to express his needs and wants; for example yes/no and hungry. He uses a few sign language gestures and some picture symbols, but mostly relies on a communication device in order to communicate with teachers, peers, and parents.

We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Be sure to think about race and gender and their role in mobility and social status. You should also make predictions about your own social mobility and your children’s (real or imagined) future mobility. To complete this assignment, perform the following tasks: 1. Describe your family’s history of social mobility through at least three generations. Types of social mobility to discuss include intragenerational mobility, intergenerational mobility, and status attainment. 2. Explain the role of race and gender in the discussion on mobility and social status. 3. Explore and then explain why each generation achieved different levels of social mobility. 4. Predict your own social mobility and if you have children, their mobility. 5. Support your work with the text readings, lectures, and appropriate outside resources. Despite great advances towards equality between the races and genders, racial and gender discrimination, as well as class stratification remain serious social problems. To conclude this course, you will use the news media to discover current social issues with regards to race and gender. To complete this assignment, perform the following tasks: · Using newspapers, news websites, or news magazines, select three current events (within the last six months) that reflect our studies on stratification. One event should represent racial issues, one gender issues, and one class issues. All three should
