This document provides instructions for an assignment on transforming learning into a learning system. Students are asked to complete a table defining key concepts in their own words and providing unique examples for each. The concepts include: learning systems, their benefits, shared and distributed leadership, shared responsibility, collective learning, professional learning communities (PLCs), and synergy as it relates to the topic. Creating a learning system involves replicating learning cycles at multiple levels from students to teachers to districts. Professional learning communities can enhance effectiveness and student benefits through shared leadership, collective learning, shared values and visions, and supportive conditions.
