Malaysia has a multi-ethnic population consisting of the Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous ethnic groups of Sabah and Sarawak. Each ethnic group has its own traditional foods such as Nasi Lemak, Sate, Tarik for Malays, Kuih Bulan, Pau for Chinese, Idli, Roti Canai for Indians as well as dishes like Hinava Tingii, Tuhau, Bambangan for Sabah and Sarawak ethnic groups.
