I got what is the important of each
lines in drawing camp, meaning of
each line refer to the memories of it
own house. Those lines create history
of the house from the small broken
pieces of wooden wall until zinc roof
top. Each detail survey showing a lot
of story behind the house, such as
the photo that hanging in house,
broken staircase, termites wooden
floor, etc.
And another thing is
***Harmonious! United! Friendly.
***Also many Thai words,
sentences... this is what I've got from
VERNADOC CAMP...

Lessons Learned from the Mahakan VERNADOC Camp by ASA & RSU
from the hand drawn drawings to the goal of inclusive preservation
and development efforts of the old town district community.
The exchange of ideas to re-generate and improve the long existed community with 'understanding, humility and
progressive' approaches towards the' Bangkok 250 years' campaign
Sunday, May 28, 2017, 14:00 - 18:00 @ Multi-purpose Room, 1st floor, BACC.
14:00-14:30 Registration begins. Visit the exhibition with complementary snacks and refreshments.
14:30-14:45 Session starts. Addressing the origin and purpose of the project.
14:45-15:45 The volunteers of Mahakan VERNADOC TEAM, lead by Ella Kylä and Vincent Guan, share their
experiences and lessons from the values of the Mahakan community.
15:45-17:15 Advices and suggestions on presentation, lessons learned and the value of being the source of
knowledge by
- Asst.Prof.Dr. Supitcha Tovivich, Lecturer of Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University.
- Representative from the Urban Planning Division of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
- Representative from Pom Mahakan Community.
- Ms. Paranee Swasdirak, Independent urban planner.
- And Asst.Prof. Sudjit S.Sananwai, Mahakan VERNADOC manager.
- Moderated by Thiwawat Pattaragulwanit and Leenavat Teerapongramkul.
