3. House Style Analysis
The Louis Tomlinson website could be described
as quite dull and dark, possibly following on from
the messages behind his songs, especially the
songs on his most recent album ‘Walls’. The font
type for the ‘Walls’ album advertisement > is
written in the same font as the Louis Tomlinson
logo at the top of the website homepage, and this
style follows throughout. The design of the
homepage is inspired by his recent album cover
and feature the same main image of Louis. The
purple banners with links to the album, Spotify,
apple music and tour dates continue onto the
actual page linked- keeping the consistent house
style. All the writing across the website is white on
top of a darker color.

Something that Louis website lacks compared to other
artists websites like his are links pages or multiple web
pages. This could be due to the amount of music releases
he has had and therefore doesn’t have as much to promote
or work off. However, he does still have some linked pages
to see; his merchandise shop (which design is like his main
page on his website, with slightly different shading, which I
personally quite like the idea of because it creates
something slightly visually different, and possibly something
I would want to use in my website design); his links to buy
his album (the first link you can find by scrolling down the
website – good promotion) and also his tour dates (which
feature all the dates, theatres, cities and a link to book
tickets for his events). Although he doesn’t provide as
much, the website is laid out clear and easy to guide.
5. Layered pictures: A black and white
picture of the artist layered on top of
neutral-colored pictures. This could be
symbolic of the layers of meaning
within the artists pop ballad style songs

Bright colors: The use of bright colors
contrasting with the dark background and
pictures could be metaphoric for the dark
meanings behind the bright style of music,
typical of the pop ballad genre. – Codes -

combination would represent
horror, blood and death,

website the color scheme is
symbolic of Hell- which
coincides with the name of his
recent album phrase “Divinely
Uninspired to a hellish extent”

7. House Style
Analysis The colour scheme of the website is bright
pop art style colours on a black background
(making them much brighter). This design is
taken from the artists album cover and is
painted by the artists himself (as part of his
brand). The colours of the social media links
are also all different, this could be viewed as a
form of publicity, but it is also consistent
throughout the website. The artist style follows
a comic/cartoon aesthetic, and this style is
carried out throughout the website. Especially
with his pages of hand designed comic book
inspired by his recent album. The clean san-
serif font type is consistent throughout the
website also, being used for captions, links
and headings.
8. -Album and music
links-
-Music Video Links- -Extra Graphics-
-Merch Shop-
The Zayn Malik website has a variety of different linked web pages. To start he has a link to all his music and album releases which are
really simple to find and scroll through, with pictures and links to listen to. The second linked page take you to his most recent music
videos, again they are really easy to find and have previews of the music videos before you click the link. He has also added an extra
graphics page, with a cartoon/comic book based around his new album. This is a clever way of advertisement because it can appeal to a
lot of different ages. The last linked page is his merch shop, which shows images, prices and links to make buying his products easy,
resulting in more sale for him.
9. Colors: The Red,
Black and areas of the
multicolored pattern are
consistent on the linked
page.
Logo: The red graffiti
style ‘ZAYN’ masthead
from his album cover is
now present – good
advertisement for his
current album.
Colors and Shapes:
The multi-colored,
abstract, painted
headers are taken from
the artists album cover
and used across the

with the color
scheme) and are

the top right-hand

11. House Style
Analysis
Similarly, to the other websites I’ve research Lewis
Capaldi's website design is based off his album
cover. The main colour scheme is red with white san
serif font. It’s a fairly simple design, however it gives
off an edgy vibe which fits in well with his album. The
main image is of the artist and is the same main
image uses on the album cover. The Lewis Capaldi
logo is used across the whole website mainly in a
small font in the top left-hand corner. Other than the
main image on his website, when scrolling down the
color scheme doesn’t change however the main
color is now black with red writing and boxes framing
the writing which could be used as a promotional
intention making the key information (i.e., album
links and tour dates) easier to find and more eye-
catching.
12. -Album + Music
Links-
-Music Video Links- -Single Links-
-Merchandise Shop- -Tour Dates-
Capaldi's website allows access to all the different information needed. He provides links to his music videos, music, albums, merchandise and
the tour dates and links to book tickets. All these pages follow the same house style, with the san-serif font; white, red and black colour scheme
and the Lewis Capaldi branding in the top left-hand side. Like Zayn's website, Capaldi has the option to scroll down to see all the different pages
or to click on links which will take you directly to them.
13. Colours: The website uses a
black, white and red colour
scheme to match the recent
album cover, this is similar in
a lot of websites. On the
other pages it is black
background with white and
red writing, making it clear.
Logo: The Lewis
Capaldi logo is in
capital San-Serif font
and is always present
in the top Left corner
of the website.
Social Media Links:
The website includes a
’Say Hello’ section which
includes all of the social
media links, it is one of
the first pages you can
see a link for (promotion
method).
Font: All font is
in capital san-
serif font and on
really important
info, such as
‘order now’ links
are framed in a
red box to make
them eye-
catching.

15. Sam Fenders Website is interesting to
analyze. It’s a unique style, giving off a
vintage, early 90’s vibe, possibly based
off his age and his childhood – being a
90’s child. He includes lots of pictures
from his childhood along with polaroid
style photos of himself and vintage
areas. However, mixed in with the
nude, vintage theme is a few cartoon,
comic book style drawings such as the
loading icon (bottle) and the rocket
(hypersonic missile is the name of his
upcoming album). The vintage x
cartoon theme fits in well with his
style of music. The fonts across the
website are all san-serif, which seems
to be a popular font choice across the
websites researched, however
something different in Fender's
website is the choice of font for his
name which is written across the
website at different points which is a
Serif font. This fits with the vintage
pressed penny design.

Analysis
16. -Home Page- -Home Page 2- -Merchandise Shop-
-Music Video Links- -Tour Dates and Tickets- -Album/Music Links-
Sam Fenders website is extremely easy to follow around, and it’s also differs quite a bit from other artists websites. Firstly, he has two
separate home pages, the first one having links to everything including a link to the main home page. The first home page is designed closer
to fit the current album, which is used as a promotion technique. Then, when entering the main site which is a closer style to his original
music, this theme is then used throughout the website, music video links page, album link page, tour dates and then the merchandise shop
has the same theme as the first home page.
17. Colours: Nude colour
theme, with pops of colour
in the cartoon images, On
pages such as the
opening page or the
merchandise page have a
neon on black colour
scheme.
Font: Mainly a San
serif font, the
website doesn’t
include as much
writing which makes
it quite different
compared to the
others. The main
Sam Fender logo is
a red serif font.
Social Media links: Clear
and in the centre of the
page along with the other
page links, they’re quite
small and not as clear as
on the other websites.
Complexity: It’s hard to say whether the website is
extremely simple or extremely complex. The
images move across the screen throughout, the
small images have edited movement (e.g. the
rocket fly’s across the screen). It also has a lot
more pages, it opens with a light up image of the
Sam Fender logo and has different loading screens
and images.
Style: it is a mixture of
vintage style (with the
pictures of a young Sam
fender and retro filters on
the modern pictures) and
a cartoon, comic theme.
