1. Things & Nothings <br />Well, I was sitting in a very relaxed manner and starring at the wall right in front of me. Though, the environment was causing a lot of vexation but yet I was prevailing for the sake of what? I had no idea. What am I doing? I asked myself and the answer was plumb, quot;

Yes”, again I got inquisitive, And then what shall I do? This time there was no answer, amazed I was. I stood up and moved towards a mirror, a guy having an enigmatic look with a languid attitude was visible. When I came back into my senses I noticed that it was myself, A smile was dancing on my lips and yet, I had found a topic to write on. I went to my room upstairs and when I entered the room it appeared to be store room rather than a living room. Books, cups, glasses were dancing on the tables in a much dispersed manner and the bed was in a very miserable condition. I tried to find something to write with and a piece of paper to write on, failed quite a few times until I caught hold of a pen lying under the table. quot;

. Strange, it's not only me but my entire nation is of the same taste. We have our own parameters of doing a thing and neglecting the other and declaring it a nothing. While driving, riding a car worth millions is a Thing but violating the traffic rules is a Nothing. Looking prettier than ever is a Thing but being rude to masses is a nothing. There are thousands of examples evident, depicting our weird choices of things and nothings. Raising a long beard is a Thing but not paying taxes and profiteering is a Nothing.It's something that makes us different from other nations, specially the developed ones and moreover from our nearest and dearest neighbor India. quot;

, turns out to be very true quote for us. We have failed to determine our likes and dislikes on common grounds, our preferences are based on our personal goals thus we are selfish. Where there is selfishness prevailing in the society unity is no more present. Slaughtering three scapegoats in the name of Allah is a Thing but accepting kickbacks is a Nothing. Preaching about savings is a Thing but spending lacs on marriage ceremony lavishly is a Nothingquot;
. Protecting our own female spouses is a Thing but ogling at someone else's is a Nothing. It is a ridiculous behavior, this phenomenon is not only common among general masses but our elite including political icons are more involved in this absurd practice.Raising slogans about the opponent is a Thing but deceiving the general public is a Nothing. Fighting for Presidency is a Thing but self accountability is a Nothing. Amazing, isn't it we encounter such examples on daily basis rather it’s a routine for us now to violate the law and pursue with personal motives. Claiming to be a true Muslim is a Thing but killing other Muslims with different opinion is a Nothing. Raising slogans like Go America Go is a Thing but using gadgets like cell phones made in America is a Nothing. Why? It is the only conundrum I have never found an answer to. Who's to be blamed for this hypocritical attitude and what reforms to be brought. Situation is getting worst day after another and no one is willing to hasten the process of reform. Becoming a teacher is a Thing but misguiding the students and asking them for tuition is a Nothing. All the sects of our society are obsessed with this strange rather negative approach. Earning livelihood is a Thing but using wrong means to earn is a Nothing. Offering prayers five times a day is a Thing but stealing electricity in the factory is a Nothing. This is a dual approach and in developed societies it's considered a vice. Mistake committed by a clerk is a Thing but same committed by an MNA is a Nothing. These are a few sheer examples of double standards of our society. We have to eliminate such absurdities to achieve the balance among masses and induce among them justful thinking. Justice should not be having different levels, different verdict for different people with committing same insanity or crime.In the end like always I would request my readers to quot;
