The art curriculum map outlines performance objectives for kindergarten through 2nd grade students in identifying and using art elements, materials, tools, and techniques in their own artwork. Students will develop and revise ideas, experiment with color mixing and tools, and use shape and color. They will also identify how artists use various techniques to create effects and communicate meanings. By the end of the year students will be able to discuss, interpret, and reflect on the purposes and values of artworks.
