The study evaluated the reliability and relationships of the Arrowhead change-of-direction speed test for soccer players. Twenty female soccer players completed the Arrowhead test on two separate occasions one week apart. The test demonstrated good relative and absolute reliability. Performance on the Arrowhead test, which involves cutting maneuvers over 37 meters, was related to linear speed tests like the 30-meter sprint and change-of-direction tests like the 60-yard shuttle. The results support the Arrowhead test as a reliable measure of multidirectional speed and speed endurance in soccer players.
