Pirates in the 17th-18th centuries used various weapons and tools in battle. The grenadoe was an early grenade made of cast iron that could be filled with gunpowder and shrapnel. The cutlass was a short, thick-bladed sword that was curved and sharp, useful for cutting ropes and close combat. The musket was between 4-5 feet long and weighed 12-18 pounds, used as a sniper rifle in calm conditions due to its accuracy over long ranges.
