Delivered on Tuesday 28th June, 2016 10:50am to 11:35am (GMT) The HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) was introduced for all first year full time undergraduates at London South Bank University (LSBU) in September 2015. This report will be presented to each graduate alongside their academic achievements, and it will detail the extra-curricular activities they have participated in. LSBU quickly established a range of HEAR approved activities, largely offered by Employability, Student Enterprise and the Student Union. The Library and Learning Resources (LLR) department were keen to be involved. We saw this as a great opportunity to “badge” our information and digital skills workshops so that they would be formally recorded and recognised on the HEAR. We also view the HEAR initiative as an opportunity to develop closer working partnerships with other university departments such as Skills for Learning and Employability. Exploring the opportunities that HEAR can bring to both librarians and learners, this workshop will provide participants with information about HEAR, and how LLR has been involved in HEAR at LSBU. Activities will include elements of the workshops designed for inclusion on the HEAR, focused on Social Media and developing Digital Skills Mentors. Participants will also be encouraged to contribute their own thoughts and ideas about university library services offering HEAR recognised workshops.
